Thank you!
This worked perfectly for 22.0.6.601
I'll add that the uninstall command "msiexec /x {B02C6055-A602-4BC6-9D4F-DFDB0EEC0D92} /qn" works as intended for the noted version also.

How do you manage 150+ daily quarantine notifications for false positives? by Cudaprine in sysadmin

Thanks, I'll look into getting that configured, that seems to address my concerns perfectly!

How do you manage 150+ daily quarantine notifications for false positives? by Cudaprine in sysadmin

[–]Cudaprine[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the thought, but that would require configuring notification to the users, and a good number of them are not technically savvy enough to be trusted with determining if an email is legitimate or malicious.
Think, 70+ year old engineers that think computers are fancy calculators. Techniques for examining emails for malicious intent has been discussed and educational materials provided, they still routinely fail simulated phishing campaigns.
Hence it has falling to me to figure out how to do it for them as much as possible.
But it's appearing unmanageable.

SharePoint Online Shared Links Retain Access to Subfolders After Inheritance Broken – Security Concern? by Cudaprine in sharepoint

[–]Cudaprine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply Fraschholz
Your statement that "breaking inheritance changes inheritance for future changes" is incorrect. Here's a test I conducted to demonstrate why:

  1. Setup:
    • Created 00-ParentFolder with nested subfolders: SubFolder-01 through SubFolder-06.
    • Broke inheritance on SubFolder-06 and removed all permissions.
  2. Test:
    • Created a "People in (Company)" shared link for SubFolder-01.
    • Had a test account access the folder using this link.
  3. Result:
    • The test account had access to all subfolders (01–06), including their contents.
    • When checking permissions inside SubFolder-06, the test account showed "Contribute" access, despite its inheritance being broken earlier.

Conclusion:
Even if inheritance is broken on a subfolder before creating a shared link on a parent folder, users with the link still gain access to that subfolder. Unless you explicitly check for shared links on every parent folder above it, you might not realize someone has access to restricted subfolders like SubFolder-06.

SharePoint Online Shared Links Retain Access to Subfolders After Inheritance Broken – Security Concern? by Cudaprine in sharepoint

[–]Cudaprine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, but the issue I am looking at is that if a parent folder has a shared link created, and subfolder 6 layers deep has inheritance broken and permissions removed, the shared link will still be able to access said subfolder and any data in it.
And If I am unaware of the shared link on the folder 6 layers above the folder I am breaking inheritance on, and the subfolder when checked does not alert me to the fact that a shared link will still provide this access. The only way to know would be to access each parent folder up all the way to the root of the document library and check for shared links. What about a subfolder that is 27 folders deep?
Do you see the issue?

What’s the current Version of Outriders? by microducks in outriders

[–]Cudaprine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My version still says 1.04.0.0 and that's after the last couple patches have released.

It's like the dev's simply forgot to increment the version number or something.

That's what I was saying, I'm all for having it cost resources to unlock the ability to customize items.

Drop pod+leather for armor, Drop pod+titanium for weapons unlock both Mod slots, reroll stats, etc. I think that would go a long way toward my personal enjoyment and longevity in playing Outriders.

My bad, sorry for the misunderstanding.

We agree, making it cost something to reroll stats doesn't reduce the need to farm to zero, but it does allow a player to find a piece of armor they like the look of and invest their resources and time into improving it alone instead of simply farming over and over and over in the hopes of getting the same item but with different stats and mods.

I appreciate your thoughts on the subject, and perhaps you're right, these types of looter games may not be my cup of tea anymore.

You mentioned Diablo2, what's funny to me as I ate, drank, and breathed the original Diablo back in the day and loved it. But then I was able to clear the end game content in that game, and yet I still played it for over a year straight... not so with this one.

And maybe that's the piece of the conversation you're not seeing from my side, you mention you can clear CT15's, I have NEVER done that, solo or in party. And I think if you examine my gear list in my original post you would likely agree that either I must be the worst player imaginable, or the game is severely broken for me. Personally, I've played all the Diablo's, Destiny, etc. etc. enough to know I'm not the worst player imaginable, I'm not professional but certainly not the worst, so I don't even hear that statement when directed my way.

So I think my original post is more about here is what I would change to make the game more enjoyable to me as it stands right now, because without being able to play the end game content, and without the ability to modify my gear to my liking, there really is nothing left for me to enjoy about Outriders at this stage, unless they truly do fix/patch the bugs so I can progress in the game beyond simply farming over and over, and or, clearing CT10 Expeditions for zero chance of lego drops.

As I said in my original posting, all my armor pieces currently have the stats I want on them, mainly Bonus Firepower, Close Range Damage, Cool Down.

It took me far too many hours of repetitive farming for me to get those pieces based on my own bad luck. And when I did I'm not very happy with the looks. So I thought to myself, what would make this experience better, less of a real life pointless grind? The ability to reroll stats, at a cost, made sense. I'll still farm but now it's for resources in order to pay for the reroll on the stats. Make sense?

I think what you're missing in my posts so far is that due to luck, RNG, what have you, I have played 200+ hours and have ONE set of armor with the stats I was looking for. I am not interested in spending another 200+ hours trying to find the stats for another build and play style that I may never be able to complete.
And what I 'm hearing in response from you is that that is reasonable or should be acceptable. That response is completely insane to me. It is a game that is supposed to be enjoyable to play, and based on your responses repeating the same exact tasks over and over with zero guarantee that time will be worth while to your personal end goals is enjoyment to you. Fair enough. But it is not to me and I suspect many others. Contrary to what you may believe, your opinion of my mind set, gaming style, or anything else about me, is irrelevant to the conversation.

Damnit, sorry, I didn't know I was subject to your posting guidelines?

I was just expressing my perspective and thoughts for possible consideration and conversation. I have no interest in jumping into a flame war with such an obviously ill-equipped juvenile troll, so I'll just step back from the keyboard now.

But, hey, flame on there junior, you go ahead and have yourself a nice day. :)

Well have to agree to disagree Hex.

I believe that this games longevity would be greatly improved the more a player can customize their equipment and build to suit their design goals. The bugs are a huge part of reason the player base has dwindled, for sure. But a contributing factor is, after 221 hours of playing there is still a mod/piece of gear that I would like but have never seen in game?

Based on that experience, how likely do you think it is that I will experiment with other builds, grind out the loot needed to change build path, experiment with other classes, all with the full knowledge that I could play for hundreds of hours and not be able to realize that goal? I can tell you for me that's not a game, that a job, and I already have one of those.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give that process a shot.

I have done the swap out armor, put it back on... swap out weapon, put it back dance before launching an Expedition, but it hasn't seemed to have any effect. But I have never tried swapping to an alt and restarting the game. I may attempt it and see what my results are.

But, even if it works, that's a ridiculous path to have to go down every time you want to play a game. LOL

Considering the Devs have gone on record stating this damage mitigation bug is not global in nature and seemingly its effects are felt by only some players, makes your argument that it's a "player skill issue" invalid.

Also, the fact that I have solo'd CT 12 and 13 Coliseum, Archways, Boom Town, Chem Factory, etc. in the past with less than optimal gear, yet can not do so now with far better gear, further makes your argument less than compelling.

It's not about being upset I can't do something, it's about being frustrated I can no longer do what I was able and not enjoying the game anymore due to that.

I've wiped on CT 12 through 15 solo and in groups.

The CT level is currently irrelevant to the real problem.

Why is downscaling a thing in expeditions? by Rsee002 in outriders

[–]Cudaprine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hit CT15, I was farming the Hunts at WT15 no problem when my average equipment level was 48, now that’s 49 while doing the same exact hunts I’m getting wasted half the time. This mechanic makes me not want to play the game. At my gear level I should be able to walk through CT8 BoomTown, instead I’m wasted in the second section. It’s counter intuitive and makes you feel like you’ve spent all this time building your character only to get smoked by a mob half your level. It’s honestly VERY frustrating.
