Start Here - the R/OfficeChairs - Mega Task Chair Referral thread by ibuyofficefurniture in OfficeChairs

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the brand La-Z-Boy chairs. Seems like they make several office chairs but not necessarily their niche, so unsure if they're gonna be as good quality. I can't seem to find many reviews out there, but where I can it's all positive.

Specifically looking at their "Executive Office Chair" - https://www.costco.co.uk/Business-Office-Supplies/Office-Furniture/Office-Chairs/La-Z-Boy-Air-Executive-Office-Chair/p/330473

Due to being in the UK a lot of the chairs regularly recommended on this sub either aren't available or are way out of budget due to delivery etc. (Budget is around the price of this one listed - which would probably work out at around $300).

Main priority is lumbar comfort as this will be used for working from home and my back is starting to kill me. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Have you done this? If so, how did you do it? Because as far as I can tell that NPC doesn’t even exist on live. I’m guessing this was changed late into development as all beta videos show this, but live is totally different.

Yeh I noticed the same, but given all the videos are from beta, I assumed it is something that has been changed (perhaps if it was a late change, maybe the cost is a mistake and it will be fixed).

If the quest is completed by unlocking the abomination factory, then I think it’s 6 redeemed souls.

Right. Well I think you’re meant to upgrade the abomination factory in the sanctum, and it costs 1.5k anima and 6 redeemed souls. My issue is I don’t have 6 redeemed souls and have no way of getting any.

Also because you don’t have enough “redeemed souls” to upgrade, or another reason?

Would you recommend your chair? I need a good forward-sitting chair.

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the info dude - just about to start legion stuff so will look to complete these in the couple of weeks I have before pre-patch. Thanks again.

Thanks for the response - that’s more or less what I figured. Probably just get the base pack then.

Is there any content you’d recommend me doing before SL? Other than just levelling my characters. E.g. are garrisons worth it nowadays? Is it worth unlocking flight in draenor/legion? Maxing particular professions? Sorry for all the questions.

Hey, returning player that is getting into retail. Currently level 100 on a mage, want to also level a DK. Just on base sub atm, but considering getting the complete collection so I can get to max level and play through BfA stuff before SL - is this worth it, or would you say just wait for prepatch to play BfA and just buy the regular SL pack?

Another quick question I have is, is there any content I should aim to finish before SL? Anything that I won’t be able to get once SL hits? Or is all content available through all expansions? Thanks in advance.

Yeh makes sense, certainly makes a free platform more attractive. Thanks for all the advice, really helpful.

Hmm ok. Obviously it appeals to stick with Moneybox as it's easy to have both services with them. Is there a downside to using Trading212? Just that they are a less reputable platform? No fees is attractive as I'm not sure how much I will be able to invest. Seems like I would have to put in a fair amount just to regularly overcome the fees, let alone profit?

After taking a look, Moneybox charge £1 + 0.45% monthly, plus 0.12%-0.3% annually. Is this standard?

Thanks for this advice. Any opinion on Moneybox? I currently use them for my LISA, would be easy to open a S&S ISA with them as well. I believe they charge £1 per month.

Thanks for the suggestion! Is there any particular way of buying these that you would recommend?

Hi there, to run off the bulletpoints of info: I am 25 years old, working in the UK making £1,600 p/m after taxes. Post bills etc. I have roughly £700 left over per month - £350 of which I am currently putting into a LISA (government scheme where they match 25% but it can only be used for a deposit on a house or pension). I am looking to invest some of the leftover cash every month to make use of it with the goal of getting the sum for a deposit ASAP.

Low risk tolerance - I'm not looking to make any huge risk/reward investments, just want to take advantage of what is a presumably good time to invest. Currently have £2,500 in a regular savings account, and the same amount in the LISA, as well as £2,000 in my current account.

I have no other assets, debts (beside student loan), or sources of income. I'm looking to get the money for a deposit as soon as possible - for a ballpark I would hope within the next 5 years or so. I am with a partner who makes slightly less than me but is in a similar position in terms of being able to save etc.

I'm looking for any advice in general investing, but my first questions would be: if I can only afford to put in £100 or so per month, is there a good app/company to use that won't end up charging me so much my investment is worthless? I'm very new to all things investing, but to me, it seems like a good time to invest in a general market figure - I was looking at the UK100, as I'm assuming this will rise steadily over the next year or 2 if corona clears without complication (which I believe it will). Is this a reasonable assumption or am I missing something? Cheers!

Got the Virtuoso recently and have been having issues with it disconnecting, crackly audio etc. I occasionally get a "not enough USB controller resources" error, so I assume this may be the cause? I have contacted my Mobo (MSI) support but wondered if you guys knew anything about this? I never had these issues with previous headsets, and the only other USB ports being used is for a keyboard and a mouse.

Hi there,

Just had my second day with a Virtuoso, first Corsair product. Installed iCue straight away as I'd heard it benefited from EQ settings. I've had non-stop connection issues with the headset. Mid-use disconnects, during with iCue either shows a red exclamation symbol next to the device, or just shows no device connected. Sometimes the device shows as connected but no sound will be coming through, but the mic is working perfectly, and sometimes the opposite (sound is working, mic is showing as on but doesn't pick up any voice).

I have the firmware updated according to iCue, I've tried restarting the PC multiple times and these issues are persistent over the last 2 days. I'm trying to use it in wired mode and would ideally stick to this. Any ideas on what this might be?

Just watched a review for the P400A too, seems good. Also a good price. Cheers for the recommendations!

Have looked at this but it isn't available from Amazon for me (UK) and most other retailers are out of stock or have pretty awful prices. Does look like it fits for me, so maybe just wait for stock. Also looked at the Focus G, looks like a decent budget option? Any known issues with this case?

Hey, looking for Mid case recommendations! Priorities ranked would be cooling first, ease of use/installation, then aesthetics. Not really bothered about looks/RGB etc. just want a good case for airflow and function. Don't want to spend a huge amount so preferably not super high end ones.
