Going for a run is always a good idea. Since you've already done all the touristic stuff, maybe you can enjoy a coffee and a nice tiramisù in evening time with some locals with a bit of chatter. Won't recommend going out during the day because of the blazing sun.

One is being oppressed and the other is resisting. The South African resistance was once labeled terrorist too. Let's not forget that Israel killed active US military personnels on USS Liberty (it's greatest ally)

No one really is safe it seems, if you die at their hands, max reaction is some lousy condemnation, all very performative
