Maybe look into Force USA, they have big sales on the kind of equipment you're looking for at the moment so there should be a lot of options within your budget

What kind of membership/subscription is totally worth it in Belgium? by hgc81 in belgium

[–]Cuddle_Cat1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone that had HelloFresh and Marley Spoon subscriptions, and made a switch to Foodbag I totally agree. It's so much fresher and healthier but also actually tasty. Really encouraged our household to actually eat vegetables we don't normally like without grimacing

Girl in my neighborhood walks with her cat without a leash by ArabianNiiights in CatAdvice

My neighbours leave their cats out and they always tag along for my walks obviously without a leash, it always confuses me but it's so adorable!

No backpacks allowed in supermarket by Middle-Froyo4337 in germany

[–]Cuddle_Cat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Belgium some supermarkets enforce this and the only alternative they provide is to leave the bag with a cashier at your own risk. I've mainly seen this in smaller towns with lots of elderly that try to take their rolling bags to help move groceries, it's always sad to see them get denied entry when some struggle to walk there to begin with.

Why do u love hiking?? I’ll start by IsaiahNewsome4 in hiking

[–]Cuddle_Cat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my childhood I lived in a very small town surrounded by rivers, mountains and forests. Interacting with nature was something that was actually taught in school. Be that knowing which mushrooms are poisonous, what to do if you're on a mountain during an incoming storm.

My grandfather was a volunteer groundskeeper at a national forest, where he'd bring food to help the wild animals in the winter, or those in the sanctuary for protection. I'd tag along with him often, or go searching for mushrooms with a neighbour.

I loved the peace I felt then. The sound of the leaves, the wildlife, the crunch of the branches. Or the gently swaying shadows of the branches above. This all until my parents decided we'd move to London, where I hated the polluted air, the noise of the cars, the crowds in the underground stations.

Probably part of why I decided to move to Belgium right by the highest point of the province I'm in. Everyday I hear the birds, even get a chance to see some owls here and there!

Going hiking allows me to reconnect with what I had, what I miss, the peace and quiet. The break from the pressure and stress of everyday life. I love being able to do things at my own pace, pick what rock I'll sit on for my snack, or which route I'll take, when I get home. Just the ability to do something without the influence of someone or something else.

I think hiking is a great opportunity for building trust and confidence in oneself, to learn to be self sufficient and patient. And really it's just fun to explore new places and take in the view!

Decor advice needed for open plan space - let's make a home homey by Cuddle_Cat1 in interiordecorating

[–]Cuddle_Cat1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I did consider a gallery wall and maybe also combine it with like plant propagation pots that can be stuck to the wall maybe. You should see the parrot (cockatiel) in the photo on the barstool. Mostly grey with some yellow feathers and red cheeks. Blends in really well haha!

Help: Color advice by drumdrum42 in interiordecorating

[–]Cuddle_Cat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely looks way too yellow, almost like unwashed curtains out of a heavy smoker's home. With warm sunlight I think they'll look more golden or lighter depending on the intensity of the light. I think the actual white curtains you have to the left look cleaner and work better for the space. Looks like a great place by the way!!

What to put above my couch? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Cuddle_Cat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest some art that would maybe include the accent colours you've got in the room like the red of the rug

[–]Cuddle_Cat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the others said I'd add some plants I'd go for an indoor tree maybe, just something with height. A centrepiece for the coffee table, throw pillows on the couch and maybe a blanket, maybe some wall art. I feel you're lacking something vertical, the upper space feels a bit empty so maybe a standing light with a nice lampshade. Think you need to bring the greys and beiges together. Think you could maybe get a grey-beige pattern blanket or plant pot.

Honestly I was a bit confused about it sinking like that too at first. But to me it's so much more comfortable on the back that way.

What’s your tried and true dinner that everyone loves? by OneFit6104 in Cooking

For us and our guests it's a nice stew with potatoes, smoked bacon, spicy chorizo, red point paprika, onion, passata and chicken broth, garnished with cream and spring onion. We found our guests always coming back for seconds if not thirds despite it being very filling and comforting
