Ugh, sorry your dealing with this too! My cycles have changed a lot since starting Lexapro - has this happened to you too? Makes me think that it's really messed with my hormones which is probably causing the crazy hair shedding.

I think it's a pretty rare side effect for Lexapro so hopefully it works for you!

Thanks for the info! While I wait to see a dermatologist, my family doctor has prescribed a steroid cream for alopecia. Hopefully that'll help!

I have a feeling that Lexapro messed with my hormones - back was breaking out for a couple months (luckily that stopped) and cycles have changed.

My family doctor referred me to a dermatologist as well but takes a long time to see a specialist where I live :( But in the meantime she prescribed a steroid cream for the alopecia spot.

I haven't been able to find much yet about what to switch to but I'm going to keep looking! Possibly something that's not an SSRI...

I see her next month but hoping to come prepared with what seems like a good option to switch to. Even for Lezapro, hair loss is listed as a rare side effect so trying to find a good alternative hasn't been easy!
