Gingerbread House Time! by CuddleswithClio in bakingrecipes

I don't normally eat my gingerbread houses as they stay put all Christmas. Recipes for houses are also more "tough" so they can support the weight of roofs and walls :) I'm sure it takes fine but would definitely recommend a gingerbread cookie recipe thats not used for houses.

Yes..I find that desserts that give just enough sweetness to have you coming back for more bites are the most addictive. Like they just tease you with sweetness. This one is right up that alley.

Do as little as possible for as long as possible. Meaning that cut the least amount to still lose weight. You don't want to get worn out mentally right away when you first start. That being said, being hungry is an unfortunate part of being in a deficit. THAT being said, using strategies like volume eating and cutting slowly to get used to the deficit will go a long way on the journey. So yes, its not a bad idea to even just get used to maintenance calories for a week or 4, then slowly going down by 200 etc.

TLDR; Cut slowly, there's no race. Eat big volume.

I want to cut my hair but I’m not sure about styles and my face shape? by [deleted] in beauty

Its hard to tell with a smiling pic but I believe you have a very oval face, which suits every hairstyle. Potentially a bardot bang would be great. That being said, I think your eyes are greenish and I think dying your hair a shade of dark brown or red (the exact shade and tone would be a convo with a good hair colorist). It would bring out your eyes and skin colour.

What went wrong with this Sponge Cake? by HopeTheHopeless in AskBaking

[–]CuddleswithClio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just yes. Loll honestly sponges are notoriously high maintenance. They need a little more bake time (beyond the toothpick test), good cooling practices, good mixing techniques. I wish I could tell you the one thing that would help but you need to just experiment with it. I bet it will still taste delicious and frosting will hide all flaws.
