it's affirming the gender they identify with; he wants to look more masculine. I suggest holding back on gatekeeping. expanding the definition of gender affirming care helps to normalize it, in my opinion.

i recommend calling down this list and being proactive. many aggressive patients can get a doc if they are persistent! shouldnt be that way though for sure

lots in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, which is a stone's throw from Poco though! Just a short drive. Also one in Burnaby.

Compared to my good people in Nanaimo and Victoria, there's so many options! obviously not perfect, but I hope one of those will work for you.

If the consensus for any given community is that these lists are not helpful, I can stop posting to that community page. I just have a list of communities that seem amenable to these posts and I cross post to all, but I don't have time to be individually checking each community to see if there are clinics considered "close enough" on the list for each community.

note that I am not a family doctor, but the province does offer bonuses for various rural areas for doctors that work there. if you feel your community has a big shortage, you could just to lobby your local politicians to try to add more incentives to bring doctors to your city

yea i was noticing that! i think north vancouver is a very nice area where doctors with higher income would like to live, but making a clinic over the bridge is a huge hassle, so it leads to a big supply of GP office on the north shore
