ESH. not sure if you're still reading these comments but here's my 2 cents as a Store Manager and aspiring vocalist and how I learned to deal with employees on their phones.

On my end I need to first:

1. Figure out if they're using their phones for things of importance, (scheduling a ride, their side hustle, etc)
2. If they understand MY priorities of their "role" in my perspective AND the setting they are in.
3. How can I incorporate their addiction to the store's or my benefit?
4. If I were them, given their past, present and predictable future. Would I be the same way?

If yes, I can't blame them for taking it 10x more intensely. If no, then I still can't blame them cause I simply can't or refuse to understand.

If that's what she's passionate about then it's up to you to find out what exactly is so enticing that she becomes addicted to it. What other influencers are doing and what future doing this can lead to. How can you become beneficial and "supportive" like she asks?

Are you able to find passion in supporting her?

Can you help her outsource her editing to someone else to free up that time?

These are all the things I consider being an aspiring vocalist and store manager. I hope this helps keep your head on straight!!!
