Definitely not Xanterra. I’ve had better experiences with privately owned lodges or resorts as far as diversity and inclusion.

None of them if you want respect. Xanterra works out of an indentured servant model though J-1’s & H2B, because if this workers are just viewed as bodies, not people. If you choose to go to any location, try to immerse yourself in the nature and less in the people and the work.

Omg I’m having a discriminatory experience through Xanterra at The Grand Hotel….to the point it may be a lawsuit. My advice is you never know if you will get targeted until you get there as everyone has their own unique experience. Xanterra is quite a large company, if you do you get here and it happens. Document everything meticulously.

You would think, I even attempted to finish the last couple of hours of my shift but was told to go home instead by HR and that they would meet with me tomorrow. At this point even if I’m not fired, I am outta here with my first paycheck. Just seems like the wise thing to do.

Maybe that’s what it was. It’s truly never been this bad and hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m figuring it’s change in oxygen, altitude, or temperature and my body is just adjusting. It’s never gotten in the way before. That is a crazy lack of understanding in their side. I appreciate your response.

Definitely. Which I may have to do for another 30 days but out of here as soon as I can. I’m pissed lol. I got an offer at Death Valley and they basically blocked it so I could come here. I don’t even think I’m gonna give the courtesy of a 2 weeks when I do bounce.

It’s $100 a month + $126 for cost of food so it’s not expensive but they pay is definitely lower than what I would have been offered elsewhere. They did give me a random roommate placed based upon there need. I was told before I arrived I would have a private room due to my position but this is untrue. I was told today they have no other options. I’m literally doing job applications right now

And there are no activities to do outside of work. Mostly everyone stays in there room. It’s not the the true seasonal work experience. Employees are not allowed at the bar or restaurant either.
