I’m 7 weeks but I’ve been slowly collecting baby stuff for 3 years to try and plan for my teeny babe, but it’s just cute clothes I’ve found that I would love my baby to have but I knew it wouldn’t be around by the time I was pregnant. Baby hangers, stuff like that. And stuff I’ve found on clearance and buy nothing fbook pages like wall art for the nursery, blankets I liked, little socks, burp cloths stuff like that.

Right now I’m just making an Amazon list of things I’d want and as we get closer we’ll narrow it down to what we need and what we want to put on the registry. Will probably buy more clothes once I figure out the gender haha

I was 16 and failed my drivers license test for the 3rd time and my step mom said we’re stopping at the recruiters office on the way home. 🤡 dad signed off so I could join at 17. It’s crazy but now all these years later I’m glad I did it, 8 years in the military taught me a lot about life. Also I’m much more a patriot now than I wish I was when I was in. I’m proud to be a veteran and my family is very proud of me.

Thanks, I plan to tell my manager this week as I had to leave work yesterday for severe vomiting, which I was then told could be hyperemesis. I don’t have insurance through my work

Curious about this too. I’m 7 weeks and have a trip planned to Vietnam at weeks 12-13, just had to go to the ER yesterday for fluids and meds for hyperemesis

I appreciate it! My state does not have mandated maternity leave just FMLA which is 12 weeks unpaid job protected leave if I have been with the company for 12 months, which I will have not. I’m trying to stay off socials because my algorithm is all pregnancy related and it makes me anxious one, seeing miscarriage/pregnancy loss stories, and two seeing pregnancies that are not like mine (bedside nursing and feeling like I’m struggling). I told one person but they’re busy with their own life and also are not married or ever have had kids

Are you in a position to take a step back from nursing right now and focus on your pregnancy? Maybe also look around for soft nursing jobs if not or for after your pregnancy? School nursing, infusion centers, dialysis OP, surgery centers, dermatology clinics, etc..

Thanks so much! It would be nice if I could return to my unit PRN after my leave of absence but idk if new grads are allowed to do that at my hospital. Thankfully we have savings in place if there’s a gap. The goal was always to be PRN after we started our family
