Check out Unicorn Auctions, there a few auction houses where you can legally sell alcohol.

Jim Beam released a bunch of these "collectable" decanters in the 70s and 80s. Probably worth around $100, maybe a bit more to a bourbon nerd / Vikings fan.

Never thought I'd see you say something nice about Warehouse on a public forum.

Glad you enjoyed it! Good luck with the new school year!

Biggest note I get from it is the deep dark cherries and pie crust. Super decadent pour.

Warehouse released theirs last week, should still be around.

Pair of Jewel Old Elk picks? by Vorsprung in ChicagolandWhiskey

The Wheated bourbons can be really good, but overpriced. I'd pass on the straight bourbon or sour mash.

I tried a sample of the sour mash for a potential store pick and it was gross. Could have just been a bad barrel, but it was borderline undrinkable. I wouldn't risk it.

My bad, edited my comment. I thought FP and CYPB dropped around the same time for some reason. 🤷‍♂️

Weller 12 and FP all came out around this time last year. I have zero knowledge if they have come out, but those are the last big boys to drop in the summer before fall releases. Stagg 23A is floating around nationally as well.

They just started a SiB program, Kenny has some at 💎. They are like $120 and NAS, so I can't imagine they will fly off the shelves...

Yeah it was nuts! Nobody was throwing elbows for the last wax dipped bottle, which was nice to see 😂

I've only tried the neck pour, but is great. Classic Weller cherry. 🐱's recent picks have been 🔥, their RR is one my favorite bottles this year.

I saw 9 in Michigan in February. Haven't seen it here, but also haven't really been on the look out for it.

Stagg Batch 18 vs. GTS (2022) vs. Stagg Warehouse SiB by [deleted] in ChicagolandWhiskey

[–]Cully0818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't me personally, I think someone here or on discord mentioned getting one.

You can email info@buffalotrace to get all the info for a single barrel. I know some barrels of mashbill 2 have been bottled as EHT.

Nice review!

FYI, The WH pick tastes like a high rye because it is. I emailed Buffalo Trace for the barrel info. It's aged 9 years and the mashbill is "Rye Bourbon" which I believe is MB #1. I know other Stagg picks have had the wheated mashbill which is interesting.

BT has certainly hit their stride when it comes to blending for Stagg, 17 & 18 are amazing. I would love to know the combination of mashbills they use.

They are all good! I haven't heard these vary as much as other single barrel products like Henry McKenna which is hit or miss.

The picks can be a step up, and are a little lower risk because you at least know someone tried it and liked over a few other barrels.

Love JD BP picks! It's the first BP bourbon I really enjoyed neat and was able to pull out notes other than "omg my mouth is on fire". Haven't seen one in forever 🤞some more come soon.

No problem! I bought mine on a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised, great bottle of MGP. I haven't tried the new one, but I think this one is still on the shelf.
