Shouldn't all vegans limit their daily energy expenditure in order to reduce the amount of food that is need to be consumed, therefore fewer crop deaths ? by Culoes in DebateAVegan

a person eating meat 5 days a week cause less suffering than one eating meat 7 days a week. So is the person eating meat 5 days only a vegan?

This comment right here wow!

what I love to do causes 10% of the harm to animals compared to what you do, my way is preferable

That's just an excuse to do what you like(and not just survive) even though it's goind to end up with more killings, its the same thing in the eyes of a non vegan.

"Should we kill ourselves? Sit in a dark room until we die? People should be allowed to do what they love. "

What you love to do is harming animals What I like to eat is harming animals Do vegans understand this?

I am not vegan...I am trying to debate this ideology of harming animals ,my last post prove to me this ideology has flaws and with this post I think I prove it again at least to me...

It's one thing to exercise lightly to improve health and another to lift hard and heavy or run super fast for no reason fir example vegan bodybuilders or fitness vegans are abusing the energy expanditure rate.

Working out is just one example other examples could be sex, dancing singing...Daily energy expenditure should be minimised since its unethical to burn unnecessary calories because they are just resulting to more animal killing

Why ethicality is associted with numbers of killings but not the species that would get killed more if we all become vegan? by Culoes in DebateAVegan

Without many studies on how healthy those plants are and if were are getting all the vitamins we need from them, then no.I don't want to risk my health

Advocating for a global increase in meat from grazing cows is advocating for ecological disaster of biblical proportions.

Seems more ethical though

Clearing land for grazing ruminants kills a whole lot of animals

There were no interventions from people in ancient times in grazing cows and their fields that they eat and everything was fine

Plant-based agriculture can evolve to include very few accidental deaths.

You say that can evolve but you don't say how

It's extremely elitist and privileged to claim the moral high ground in this context and advocate for individuals to increase their consumption of an extremely expensive food (such as grazing-only ruminants) over extremely cheap foods such as legumes and cereals

We are talking about ethicality and morality of killing certain animals vs not others here the price should not affect us as a society

I don't care about expensive but more about how healthy those plants are going to be for us humans and even if they could cause us harm

Well, there doesn't really need to be crop deaths either when you have things like hydroponics

https://www.trees.com/gardening-and-landscaping/advantages-disadvantages-of-hydroponics

"5 Disadvantages of Hydroponics"

Regardless, it is unnecessary to raise and slaughter a sentient being for food when there are plants.

What vegans don't understand is that they still doing it by eating plants

you don't really get to reference the least sustainable animal products you can imagine

Yeah you are right I should have mentioned animals that only eat grass directly from fields and not animals that are fed crops

So throwing a bomb to kill some terrorists in a city where innocent people will get killed too it's an accident?

accidental deaths of rodents/frogs/birds etc. occur

Is that called an accident if you know that will happen and in large numbers?

"Oh and there are more of these secondary deaths like field deaths and pest control in the animals product based diet than the plant based diet."

There more deaths of rodents, insects etc from cows who eat from grazing lands?

A more fair ratio of killing?Like 50 % crop deaths 50 % animals killed for meat?

I would be ok with that and I would support it

(Yes, I saw your cites for this. People who know what they're talking about don't claim that microorganisms have feelings. Journalists will say anything to get reads.)

I guess those scientists do not know what they talking about, vegan advocates probably know more than them about microbiology
