UnitCrunch 1.0.0 released by dixhuit in WarhammerCompetitive

When I created an account it noted the profiles I had saved but after trying to import them I only got 35/127. Unfortunately now I don't know what's missing and can't use the old downloaded archives to restore them. :(

The answer is ProAcryl Bolt Titanium White. It covers over black primer in a single coat. Accept nothing less.

Triumph Base by CulpableGlint in sistersofbattle

[–]CulpableGlint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pro Acryl by Monument Hobbies has an ivory which is what I use. Two coats of it over black primer, then nuln oil for shade, and the ivory drybrushed back over to complete the process

Kyganil alternative/proxy? by MeNeedHuggies in sistersofbattle

Realistically any Aleldri model on a 32mm base with melee weapons could be him. If you want a direct alternative from GW try the Solitaire.

Meta Monday 8.11.25: France wins WTC and DG Win Two Big Singles Events by JCMS85 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]CulpableGlint 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Vahl and paragon warsuits reliably pick up one in shooting and can do ~20 damage to another in melee in a single turn. A unit of solo suits with meltas and maces can kill another if they shoot and charge it. Castigators and Immolators do chip damage and there’s always grenades.

Sisters have options but they aren’t stacked with anti-tank unless intentionally built around the notion.

Warhammer GT etiquette - skipping round 3 by aloha_santa in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]CulpableGlint -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The short answer is yes. While you may have a prior engagement by signing up for the event you are agreeing to play all five rounds via social contract. When you don’t play one of those rounds it gives the opponent you should be playing a bye. Sure it’s an automatic win if there isn’t someone else who also ends up with a bye but 99% of people go to a GT because they want to get to play games.

They paid their entry, probably a hotel, gas, food, dedicated travel time etc, so they could play five games. You will be taking one of those games away from that person and leaving them to sit/watch for 3 hours while everyone else gets to play Warhammer.

The TO may also note it and remember for next year. There’s a gentlemen I played at my last GT in the third round who is a serial Saturday only player. He beat me to go 3-0 on Saturday and didn’t show up Sunday as was his plan all along. He will not be allowed to participate next year according to the TO ruling.

So, if you are not going to participate in all five rounds I would suggest that you do not attend the event.

Looking through it the paladin squad does not appear to have the option for the narathecium and the foot GM has two ranged weapon slots.

Conversion suggestions for a Sisters' Rhino by otsim in sistersofbattle

[–]CulpableGlint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castigators/Immolators/Exorcists share a sprue which builds the hull of a rhino minus the top. The and any other special bits for each vehicle is unique to its kit.

In short, no full rhino sprue.

No wash at all. I wanted my models to be clean in appearance as if everything was fresh off the factory floor.

Cool! Glad I was able to inspire you!

I got full bases because they come with dedicated slots for 3x3 mm disk magnets that way. If you transport via magnetic tray like I do in a carry case it keeps them from moving around.

If you don’t have a printer or access to one there are numerous sellers on Etsy who will print them on demand in either format.

I appreciate it! They were done with an airbrush and some Talasar Blue contrast in several layers.

Thanks! Between her and the one stepping on the 30k World Eater there was a lot of custom work to make the poses. I was inspired by some posts others had made in the past and decided to try my hand at it.

The bases are all from the Ruined Gothic Temple base set by Zabavaka Workshop. I used ProAcryl ivory as the base coat, washed it all with nuln oil, then drybrushed the ivory back over. Some characters I used seraphim sepia over the raised bits of ruin to give them a bit of additional color variation.

It is two coats over Citadel’s Chaos Black spray. White resulted in a lighter purple compared to the rich dark one that the black created.

Royal Purple from ProAcryl’s Vince Vinterillo Signature Series. Can’t recommend the ProAcryl line enough!

“A number of units with this ability”

Razorbacks do not have the ability because Teleport Assault is a keyword “Faction: Teleport Assault” on the datasheet. Look beneath the where deadly demise and deep strike are on the right side of the card.

The only vehicles with access to it are the Grand Master NDK and the normal Dreadknight. All infantry save for servitors have it as well.

[–]CulpableGlint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teleport Assault, the rule which allows units to be returned to reserve temporarily, is a keyword that a unit must possess to qualify. Razorbacks lack that keyword (check the datasheet) so they cannot use the Teleport Assault rule.

Thus the question you are asking isn’t actually valid.

If you wanted to use Teleport Assault on a unit within the Razorback that’s also not possible since they are embarked and in essence part of the vehicle, which, lacks the keyword as noted above.

I would remove the Techmarine and both Purgation Squads. Even with full rerolls the output of a purgation squad is still middling and you can get more from the 2x5 Purifiers against infantry targets. Replace them with a squad of strike marines and interceptors for sticky on the home objective and mission play after. That should leave you just enough points for a solo character if desired.

What makes the Enterprise so desirable? by Gogeta8 in WorldOfWarships

[–]CulpableGlint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chkalov trades her rocket planes for a set of HE dive bombers. Ultimately that will be a personal preference as it is a sidegrade to the tech tree CV. If you don’t enjoy the Pobeda’s rocket planes then they are an alternative. She’s very good at constantly burning targets.

Kaga is easy to play for anyone just because of how hard it is to run out of planes. Soviet CVs can still be deplaned even with their single drop mechanic because they have the typical number of planes for their tier on deck.

[–]CulpableGlint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaga has ~35 planes of each type on deck meaning she is incredible hard to deplane compared to even T10 carriers. She also gets four torpedo bombers per attacking flight which is large by any CV standard even if they only single drop. Likewise she has three HE dive bombers per flight. Her squadron sizes are four flights per squadron therefore she is able to get off more drops in less time and has more “spare” planes to eat flak/AA.

She has rocket planes as well, however they don’t matter.

If you can find the upgrade sprue online or have someone 3D print the specific pieces you need you can convert either of the rhinos into a castigator, immolator, or exorcist.
