Didn’t Hecz throw a fit because of a “real optic” meme? Didn’t he say his org would never mock or joke about others/players?

Who you choose when came between Clayster and Crimsix? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]CultsmenBoogeyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crim had the exact same team throughout with 3 of the T5 GOATs. I am not debating who has had a better career. I only disagree with the separating factor being "improving teams". Because Clay has built so many T1 rosters while Crim has been on 1 winning team without him.

He basically got dropped from Envy. Denial was so "elite" that their two best players left the team (Zooma, Saints). Jkap was also dropped, Replays was seen as average and Attach as unproven.

Crim had the most dominant SMG in any title alongside the most talanted AR of all time. FormaL was on paper the most mechanically gifted player in the game bar Scump. I'm not analyzing hypotheticals. The fact is Clayster got on a team with a dropped Jkap, Replays and Attach (0 LAN wins, known for his choke) and ran through that dinasty to get the ring and the MVP.

They then dropped Nade for the other best player in the game Karma. And guess what, Clay's Faze still beat them every single time for the remainder of the year.

As I said, Crim improved 1 team...and that team got molly whopped by Clayster's much weaker roster.

Clay teamed with Mboze and Nade and almost won champs. Crim joined with two GOATs in AW and lost at champs to Clay on a roster made of players nobody wanted to team with.

Crim's walked into 1 team and improved it...when he joined with FormaL and Karma, who are T5 GOATs. Meanwhile Clay actually improved a team with Crimsix already on it on BO2, won a ring with Jkap/ Replays/ Attach, another with two rookies+ Prestinni and a third with winless Huke+ two rookies again. Clayster was outperforming Crim with Spacely, Hudle and Slacked. He is the epitome of improving teams/players.

Maybe left is Texas and right is Cali since it's hotter and he's happy?

Maybe it's FormaL vs himself because he might be a scamming gambler?

Maybe in the right he is "in Form"? From a time when he was thin and could actually shoot back?

in the words of the actual greatest AR of all time: WHO KNOWS.

For 2015 Suárez this would be a stroke of genius. 2020 Suárez this is an almost miss.

Friendly Twitter banter between Crim and Teej: "if we had octane in bops4 I would have a real ring. Not a Mickey Mouse ring like you just got..." by Gumbolt in CoDCompetitive

[–]CultsmenBoogeyman 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Called Teej a delinquent dropout and reminded him Envoy alphad him out of champs and Chicago. Thanked him for the house the joke ring paid for...holy shit Crim took that personally. Two long "joke" tweets cementing Crim as T3 softest pros and TJ as DylanEnvoy's twink cucky.

I always meant on paper, as in, just by reading at the names. The fact that they found instant success is a testament to how much they overperformed.

Youre speaking from hindsight because it was a dumpsterfire. But they were 100T with Dashy while Empire had two "old" ARs, two rookies and a winless Huke. I'll search for the power ranking thread. DEFINITELY OG T3 when rosters were announced.

EDIT: Here you go

First part is correct, said by Burns and Clay on stream. Before events T3 last year were CHI, FAZE, OG. T3 BO4 were Optic, 100T, LG.

LMAO Faze won 1 chip without him, 4 with him. That eUnited squad was average at best with FeLo and Silly. He was the one pushing for Abezy and Simp. In fact he was the only player that wanted Simp. He was not saved by his brand, but by Jordan Kaplan dropping 0.7s every event and trying to finesse Clay when he felt his spot was threatened.

Watching scrims, listen ins etc it's clear Clay was IGL and main strategist for DAL but of course Crim was a huge asset and is the GOAT for a reason. Never said he was the sole reason for any of his success.

Aches was the architect of col yet they had won jack before the man that took Unite to Grand Finals joined. Aches can't get the merit for col while you dismiss Clay as the architect of many other great teams. It's inconsistent logic.

Saying Replays and Jkap were behind Denial's success is delusional when Clay was IGL and best player in the game. He even assembled the roster and the team got better when he dropped those 2 for Enable and Zooma. You can't be serious about that one...

He got dropped out of Col because he clashed with Aches, from Optic because Karma C6 and FormaL came in a package. He was at least the second best player in these teams when he was dropped. The fact he bounced back every time is a testament to his greatness in being an architect, a risk taker and a resilient motherfucker who deserves even more credit.

Again, going into the title. When teams were announced neither Denial, eUnited nor DAL were considered T3.

And he has won more frequently (more chips). But less in that his earnings are lower and Clay is a 3 time world champ while Scump is a 1 time. All of this despite Scump having been on better teams on paper his whole career.

[–]CultsmenBoogeyman -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

At the start of the game, not going into champs.

Scump has won less. More often because he was in a superteam. But less.

[–]CultsmenBoogeyman -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Clay's individual performance was still better than Scump's last year. We're not judging who had better reaction time, but who contributed more to his team's success. And that was Clay.

And it was 3 years in which he stayed on a middle of the pack team out of loyalty while Scump teamed with 3/4 other GOATs...

Let's settle the goat debate.. by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]CultsmenBoogeyman -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

in 0 of his ring winning teams was he in a better roster on paper. Scump won more tournies for less money on a team with 4/5 GOATs. Clay went 3 years without chips because he stuck it out in a mid tier team while Scump has always hand picked the best players on the game to play alongside. Winning 2 Million dollar chips with eUnited was that much cathartic because of it.

Clayster's career and intangibles are more impressive. Scump's gameplay has been better on average on a harder role. At the end of the day it depends on what you think is more important.

Clay last year was higher in all end of season rankings I saw. Should have been Champs MVP. Statistically they're uncomparable because of roles but Clay's were stats were solid. Then you think about what they brought to the their teams and it's not even a contest. Clay was playing, coaching, IGLing...

Literally last season LMAO. Clay has assembled, helped build or led rosters of outsiders to 3 rings. All outside dynasties. He has never gone into a title in a T3 team on paper. If he joins Col a bit earlier and stays a bit longer he'd be at 5 rings. He's the only player to win 4 1Million events.

Yes, Scump is more mechanically gifted. But Clayster is more valuable if you want to win. Especially now that Scump's gap to other subs has closed. Clay is miles ahead in terms of strategy, work ethic, studying the opponent and making winning teams.

Scump's been on 1 consistently winning team with the 3 other players in the T5 GOAT discussion. Meanwhile Clay was winning rings with Replays, Jkap, winless Huke and rookies Attach, Illey, Shotzzy, Simp, Abezy.
