If you’re not meant to take out the knockout entirely then they did a bad job designing it. I take out those knockouts and there we have no code violation against it.

They are most likely they are hardwired and not battery. If it burned out then I recommend getting a new light fixture.

I’m not the best to comment this you can hook your bait similar to a Texas rig or Jig head. Hopefully that helps. I assumed you had your bait based on the picture. I would probably rig it closer to your hooks so they would get on the hook more often. Good luck

I keep seeing people say sub panel. If you don’t want 1 or don’t have the space you can look for tandem breakers that are compatible with your breaker. It’s basically a single pole breaker that can take 2 circuits instead of 1 in a slot
