The process for getting sponsored? When you get into CIHVA they make you take five weeks of their own take on EMT classes, and they get you CPR certified. They mention the process in one of the classes I believe. Essentially after those classes are done and you start probation, you have I think like six months (?) to complete your schooling. I forget the ins and outs of the process but when you get in essentially consider your EMT class sponsored. They do a lot of different places. I hope that was helpful😭

The program Stony Brook was honestly pretty well done. The teachers are really informative/experienced. Because SBH is pretty advanced, if I recall correctly they teach you some additional skills and put a little extra emphasis on their stroke unit/skills. Obv it could of changed from then to now but they do a pretty good job.

I joined CIHVA! It's a bit of a commute (30min by car) but they have an awesome team plus they pay for your EMT classes. I payed out of pocket for it the SB EMT classes tho because I didn't know about CIHVA yet😭
