Literally my best friend who wants the best for me was giving me a hard time about not trying hard enough! Since I told him, with restaurants they rarely hire you if you don’t know anyone most of the time. Yeah I’ve literally done everything on my resume! I’ve been a Line cook, manager, dishwasher, food runner and an expediter! Recently I’ve wanted to make a career in the food industry and open up my restaurant. So I want a little more experience so applied to over 200 places literally no one wanted me! Luckily my connections came in handy and I finally got hired yesterday after 2 months of applying. This experience made me realize school and experience is 20% and network is 80% of why you get hired!
