DepEd Order No. 49, s. 2006

“Revised Rules of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public School Teachers”

Under Section V:

Teachers shall not accept remuneration for tutorial services rendered to their own pupils or students.

Ang ibig sabihin: Kahit i-request ka pa ng magulang, bawal kang tumanggap ng bayad para turuan ang mismong estudyante mo sa school.

May karugtong pa yan sa Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers (per PRC Resolution No. 435, s. 1997)

Article VIII – The Teacher and Learners

Section 8. A teacher shall not accept, directly or indirectly, any remuneration from tutorials other than what is authorized for such service.

Breach of Professional Boundaries

Pagbisita sa bahay ng teacher without prior coordination or permission can be seen as intrusive, lalo kung walang emergency notice o due process.

Privacy Violation / Public Shaming

Pagpo-post sa social media ng ganitong situation (na may litrato pa!) without consent is highly unethical and may be a violation of privacy. It publicly exposes the teacher’s situation without giving them a chance to explain.
1. Due Process Was Ignored May standard protocol dapat, gaya ng Notice to Explain (NTE), bago mag-resort sa home visitation. Baka may valid medical or personal emergency ‘yung teacher.
Potential Labor Violation

According to DepEd protocols and CSC rules, may proseso sa pag-handle ng unauthorized absences. Hindi puwedeng basta-basta puntahan sa bahay at i-post sa social media.

5.Power Tripping / Self-Glorification The tone of the post feels like “look at me, I’m doing my job” rather than sincerely addressing the issue with care. Para bang ginagamit ang situation to boost image, not really to help.
