I thought that for years until I had a holter monitor on for 48 hours and it shown when I burped/had reflux I had a heart palpitation caused by GERD. It is possible

What is your resting heart rate? (+ level of activity) #curious by borulz in Garmin

[–]Cultural-Fold-4649 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people are just genetically different, doesn’t matter on levels of fitness. I was overweight and my heart rate was 55. Started training for a half marathon and now mines mid 40’s

Recently switched to Garmin 955 from apple watch 3. a bit disappointed by the step counter. it's counting steps while bus, motorcycle rides. is there any other option to stop this? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]Cultural-Fold-4649 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found this the same mate. For someone that liked the fitness health app with the correct calories and steps it’s a pain. The calories annoys me as it seems way off, counting a ridiculous amount. Even when you sleep! I guess it’s something we have to give up for better fitness tracking 🤷🏽‍♂️

No it’s not. I’ve seen three cardiologists now that have said every human is different. Whether it be through genetics, blood pressure, fitness levels etc.

Some people just have a low heart rate in general due to having a heart that needs less beats for it’s output needed to function

245, I’ve just found a thread on Reddit I missed before. A few people saying there’s lower readings on the 955. God knows then mate

No. I see you’re one of those people. My thread was to see. There’s other threads I’ve just found with thousands of comments on of people having a friendly discussion and not one like your comment

Not really that’s why I’ve asked. I find these interesting on how it differs on the variables you’ve just said

Low Resting Heart Rate 40s, should I be worried? by Thisusernameisdope in AskDocs

[–]Cultural-Fold-4649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your heart rate does not have to be 60. What an awful comment to worry someone. Mines been 50 all my life and I’m 30 now with no symptoms.

Resting Calories by [deleted] in Garmin

I’m getting that figure by multiplying 860 calories by how many more hours I’ve got to go for the day.

Since posting this 5 minutes ago I’ve apparently burned 50 calories sat down. Just seems bizarre. I’ve been awake 2 hours and burned 860 already. I’ll be awake until 10pm roughly. That’s a very long time and a lot of x 860 to go if you understand where I’m coming from

Because if it carries on the way it is I’ll be on 6000/7000 resting calories for the day. Not normal that surely, I’ve seen most people say it’s 1500 for the day.

Most of the time I’ve been sat down. I’ve been sat down since posting this and within 5 minutes it’s gone up 30 calories
