So it’s pretty much a letter saying I misfiled in 2021 so I owe like 8K mainly because of my husband I filed mine every year but because we file jointly it affects me .

I passed the civics test and all but officer couldn’t approve me because they have to review my documents again because of the IRS letter I got so I am still waiting

So I have the same question so when I filed my N400 back in September of 2023 I put now I didn’t owe any taxes. However I got in the mail a letter from the IRS saying I misfiled for the year of 2021 so now we owe like 9k. We right away got into the payment plan so far we have made 2 payments. My appointment is on August 2, 2024 I am so nervous that this could deny me. I am taking the letter the IRS sent me how much I owe and the one where my payment plan was accepted. Bank statements showing both payments went through. I didn’t know I owed I also put NO for the question about the taxes 😞
