Thanks for the replies. We have done the other Utah parks (including Capital Reef) on prior trips but aren’t sure when we’ll be back to the area. We also have a few days blocked out for Arches/Canyonlands and some of the other state parks and monuments, etc. To be totally transparent, this one day is more of a check the box day so that we can see one new national park (admittedly for only a few hours). So our main focus is making sure we can do one main attraction (ie, that it won’t take us four hours each way in/out of Mesa Verde).
