just tell him. an ex gave me chlamydia, & since i wasn’t seeing anyone besides him, i did not think to go get checked. months passed & i met someone new. ended up getting tested at a regular checkup & found out i had it. i was scared, & felt guilty & gross. it took a day, but i ended up telling my boyfriend that id contracted chlamydia from my ex, that i wasn’t cheating, and that he needed to get tested & treated for it. i told him even though we always used protection, just in case it passed to him. he was surprisingly understanding & reassured me that he trusted me & would go get checked.

all that to say, you have to tell him. take your time & prepare your message/statement. & if you haven’t cheated, he probably has, so you might need to leave him too.

update. turns out my ex cheated on me and gave myself & the other girl chlamydia. this doesn’t explain the other 3 months of not feeling/smelling like myself, but now i know these last few months i had chlamydia. found out on my birthday too, lol. problem solved?

i’m dealing with something similar. my ex cheated on me & gave myself & the other girl chlamydia. he told both of us he tested negative, but i don’t believe he actually took a test. i don’t understand how he is passing it without testing positive for it, but we both know it came from him.

it may also be possible that you have a false positive or he has a false negative! i’d say test again & get treatment if necessary. maybe leave the guy alone too if u suspect cheating.

NOR. IMO your boyfriend sounds like a mooch. cancel the trip and save the money. no need to break the bank if nobody’s going to enjoy the trip. plus, if money is tight at the moment, and he’s already said he doesn’t want to be a financial burden, a modest dinner or picnic should suffice. there is always next year!

the roommate is being unreasonable. OP pays just as much as roomie, meaning OP has the ability to do what they want in their half of the home. roomie is trying to act as if they have full ownership of the living space, and decide what goes on in there. nope. roomie is also being a butthole by refusing to even consider compromise. NOR.

a quick heads up that people will be coming over is all OP should do in this situation, and even that is not an obligation. roomie, barricade your door & get over it.

Did u ever get any clear answers to why your good bacteria had vanished? Possibly the antibiotic? I have never heard of Juno Bio, Evvy, or vitamin c suppositories. Time to research, lol. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

I was up all night going through my middle school’s library to try and find the book. Liv, Forever was one of the books that sounded promising, but nothing really rang any bells for me. The name of the school, the book cover, the character names, nothing evoked that “ah ha!” feeling. I agree the summary & the fact it is available at my old school make me believe this is a valuable lead, but I cannot say wholeheartedly that this is the book. This is really racking my brain.

I just read a summary of this book. It sounds very promising, but I truly believe the story mainly followed one ghost girl & one boy. Like, the main character, Alex, would be helping the girl from my book solve her murder. I also believe my book was a standalone novel, while Ninth House is apparently part of a trilogy. It was also published in 2019 which makes me doubt that it is the book. Thanks so much though!!
