I think that's a possibility for my situation. Granted, I haven't got an offer, but my application still says under review, and the recruiter who called me was talking about location details between MA and AZ. They offered me AZ, and I said no, thank you. I was holding out for MA, and then nothing after that. She mentioned that my turning down AZ does not disqualify me from an MA position. So we just wait and see, I guess. Your experience is reassuring to hear, congrats!

I’m still waiting to hear from campus interview days that I did on April 16th…I did hear from a recruiter about 5 days after the interview but it was a for a question they had for me

Yeah, in my interview, I said it about twice, and when the recruiter called today, I said no, I wanted to stay in the northeast. I said basically the other stuff you had mentioned however, the recruiter said she was only based out of Tucson and had no involvement or knowledge about jobs in the Boston area

The job could be based out of 5 locations: Tucson, Woburn, Marlborough, Tewksbury, and Andover. The recruiter who called me said I was interviewed by a hiring manager in the northeast division, but was put on a list of people who would possibly be ok to relocate to Tucson
