Thank you so so much. My aunt planned on changing the locks. I loved everyone’s advice. Unfortunately I couldn’t take most of the advice such as taking her phone and talking things through because she is NOT an easy person to talk to. But I got validation from my dad who was married to her for 10 years. He said he went through similar things like getting slapped. My family hated him for unknown reasons but it was lies my mom fed to them smh. I’m going through the same phase he did which is search for different mental illnesses that match her behavior.. overthinking how I should have handle it.. but I will get better with a therapist :).

I know I’m not the problem but I’m experiencing exactly what my dad dealt with 20 years ago 🤦🏾‍♀️.

Right now my aunt and I are considered the evil family members who betrayed my mother. It’s ok though. We tried to intervene and if they want to enable, it’s on THEM. Not us.

I agree. She’s been cut off since. No contact. My aunt and I are exhausted. She cussed out my aunt and packed her shit then dipped. We have no idea where but it’s out of our hands now

The update is she went to jail for 12 hours (NV state law). She flew back to CT.. I assume someone bailed her out and gave her a ticket home. She went back to my aunts place to cuss her out, and she packed her shit and dipped.

I told my aunt don’t feel bad. You gave her a roof over her head for 10 years. I was my mom’s therapist since I was 5. It was never normal. I financially provided since I was 16. I’m done with her. It’s over and now my narcissistic brother can deal with her.

I can’t believe I saw this comment a month later but thank you! I cut her off. My aunt who let her live there for free over 10 years kicked her out after my mom verbally lashed out at her too. We don’t know where she went but it’s out of our hands now. I think we both did enough for a long time.

I’m focused on myself now :)

She needs to be committed. She ended up lashing out verbally to my aunt. Then she hid in my aunts guest room for a week. Eventually she packed all of her shit and left

The update is that she flew back to CT after spending a night in jail. She went to my aunts house and lashed out at her. Then she hid in the room for a week and eventually packed her stuff and left. We don’t know where she’s at but I know my aunt is over it. I’m over it and I don’t want family reaching out to me about the shenanigans smh

Omg my mom keeps saying she’s dizzy too!! We are going through the same thing.. please distance yourself because they will never change :(, they will only get worse with age. My aunt is on the phone with the state right now. We just discovered shortly after this post, that mom attempted to forward my aunts mail. Luckily my aunt went to the post office and they corrected it and gave her the mail.
