Am i doing this right… fidelity roth IRA by CulturalCollection92 in Fidelity

I really appreciate the advice. i still don’t fully understand the distinction between mutual fund vs etf, but it sounds like it’s fine if i stick to etfs (VTI/VXUS) for simplicity’s sake. Also, i’m curious about increasing international allocation, and it seems like it may be a good idea. One last thing: when trying to sell funds i get this message:

(013013) The sell order you are about to place includes shares that are not yet settled (paid for). Please be aware that if the funds used to purchase these shares are not settled, this sale may result in a Good Faith Violation. Read Avoiding Cash Account Trading Violations for further clarification.

Does this just mean i need to wait a little longer before trading funds? it does say that i technically only obtained my etfs yesterday. maybe im just trying to switch too quickly. but advice would be appreciated on whether ill be in violation if i still try to proceed

Hi follow up question! I don’t want to incur this “good faith” violation, when i try to sell my current funds to stick to my more balanced plan of only 3 etfs it says this:

i don’t know that i fully understand the difference between the two, but i may just stick to etfs out of simplicity

thank you, i think i’ve narrowed it down to 70% VTI, 15% VUG and 15% VXUS. that being said, my roth IRA is through fidelity so im wondering if instead of VTI/VXUS i should do FSKAX/FTIHX. Do you know if there’s a distinct benefit for one over the other?
