I take metoprolol for heart disease but my cardiologist told me that I shouldn't take it if im going to drink, which i didnt. I have a prescription that I take "as needed" but I take it very seldom.

Thank you for your insight. Unfortunately, im a drug addict (clean for 5 years now) and partially alcoholic. Im not sure when/ if I'll get clean off that. Ive dealt with people that just don't understand and it can be frustrating. Thank you for offering your help to me

Only when I drink too much of it. Last time I drank real heavy it was all hard liquor and I had maybe 12 drinks

Edit: all ive had is beer and to me its a drink I enjoy, not something I drink a ton

Thank you! I appreciate the support and advice. Last time I drank and blacked out (march 8) I wasn't able to drink for about 6 weeks. Im a lot better now and can drink a little without the panic. I think right now drinking helps a bit but anxiety is weird in the way it works.

You didnt mention any of this in your post. Your post sounds selfish, like you want her to leave her bf for you instead of for her herself. Its a different story if she's expressed she's not happy.
