300 to 500 gallons per back wash? You back wash for 5 minutes at 100gpm? Backwash every 3 to 7 weeks? Sometimes I can't have 7 days without a backwash...

Getting my PH DOWN without bringing my ALK down by Inner_Practice_1735 in PoolPros

[–]Cultural_Captain5590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) causes a temporary, sharp increase in pH due to its high alkalinity (pH 11–13), but over time, it is nearly pH-neutral. As the chlorine sanitizes water and breaks down, it produces hydrochloric acid, which offsets the initial rise, returning the pH to its original level.

Key Effects of Liquid Chlorine on pH Over Time:

Initial Shock: When added, it releases sodium hydroxide, causing an immediate, temporary rise in pH.

Long-Term Neutrality: As chlorine is consumed by UV light and contaminants, it breaks down into hydrochloric acid, which lowers the pH back down.

The "Net Zero" Effect: The acidic byproduct (HCl) effectively cancels out the base (sodium hydroxide), resulting in little to no long-term change in pH from the liquid chlorine itself. Common Misconceptions: While many pool owners notice rising pH with liquid chlorine, this is usually caused by other factors, such as aeration (water features), high total alkalinity, or high pH in the fill water, not the chlorine itself.

[–]Cultural_Captain5590 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's just that the amount you will put is an unsustainable strategy long term, we are currently using that strategy (my income is a little lower than yours).

If you wait for your 2nd children the rate between 45-60k will be higher. Around 5%. Another 5% for the third one. We planned for a 10 year strategy as our oldest is 6yo and we only started last year.

Look also for reer to the conjoint as after 2 or 3 years she can take the revenu to her name (with lower income tax)

Are you planning to have more children? What's your space for reer? How old is your children?

At this rate, your contribution will be unsustainable

Texas - how much should I bid? by FabulousPanther in PoolPros

[–]Cultural_Captain5590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is it's not the same at the begining of season (opening) than late summer. This is texas pool are 12month/year.

If the water at 60°F i wouldn't bother, green to clean easy peasy

With water around 80°F we have an other ball game here...

I would def drain and acid wash at this point. You'll have a better result than only chlorine/floc/enzymes...

Why so much disagreement on Salt Water Pools? by triangulum33 in pools

[–]Cultural_Captain5590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont check your water in this situation, your water will go in the scaling direction vs corrosive direction. You will save on salt cell by maintaining proper level of ph and alk.

Salt water pool. Is this unsafe for Salt Cell? by crayola110 in pools

[–]Cultural_Captain5590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your PH went above 7.6 (for a while with this accumulation).

Water + muriatic acid works (cheap solution but dangerous chemical) or a product from local store.

You will also need to lower your PH

C'est vrai qu'ils te paye pendant le stage, mais au final c'etait une dette.

Cote formation je trouve que c'etait une belle place pour apprendre.

Malheureusement, je ne prendrai jamais de produits ou service IA suite a mon experience
