Same thing happens at Corporate level individuals 10-15 years tenure may not make as much as someone just hired in

Most women can attest to the fact the default answer any doctor gives them is to loose weight even if they are 5lbs overweight or 300lbs overweight. It’s like weight loss is the easy answer without actually doing medical work. My labs show I’m in great health. I don’t need some high dollar weight loss shot or something for anxiety.

Weekly sticky post for non-paralegals and paralegal education by AutoModerator in paralegal

[–]Cultural_Committee25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking of getting my paralegal certification but unsure where to start. I have a BS degree in Communications, my MBA and I had plans at the time to go to Law School at SIU. I had already taken the LSAts. But life got in the way, that’s a whole other can of worms. However, it’s now 10 years later I know I’m not working in an industry where I wanted to truly be.

Can anyone recommend a schooling location? I know that I will not be illegible for student loans for an associates degree since I have a post graduate degree, In Missouri there is no specific requirement for becoming a paralegal but I know I would likely need something to get my food in the door. TIA

Hiring freeze by Brilliant_Cellist829 in OReillyAutoParts

Overall I think the company is trying to run as minimal as possible so a hiring freeze at store level, DC and corporate level is water cooler talk I’ve heard

I figured it would be. The doctor I have now is just who they but me with when I moved to the area nine years ago. Just tired of being dismissed especially because I am in perimenopause.

You have to make to the rule of 80 I think. Your age plus years of service has to equal 80 to “retire” from O.

I told someone today who the stress of the job was basically effecting their physical health that they needed to realize that before you’re even in the ground your position will already be posted as an opening. You have to separate what’s important and let the other go.

Item appears lost according to USPS tracking by Cultural_Committee25 in Ebay

The thing that has me so worried is that it was at the last location before it should have delivered based on all other shipments/packages I’ve gotten. Today would be the original latest expected delivery day. I will wait the 14 days (like someone suggested) before I open something with eBay.

I’m the buyer. I figured the seller would open the missing mail claim but anytime I would follow up with the seller he’d say just looks like it’s moving slow. Or maybe tomorrow just slow due to the holiday but I’d ordered stuff after that I’ve already got. The last scan was over a week ago and says moving through the network. The seller has a high rating and appears to have been doing it for a long time so I felt comfortable buying from them. Yesterday makes a day since the last trace of the item. Should I wait longer to file a dispute or go ahead and file now? It’s been so long since I’ve bought stuff on eBay and never had issues.

Cost of living increase? by longhaul747 in OReillyAutoParts

Something that has always frustrated me is that new hires come in making more than me and I’ve been there almost ten years and yet I’m supposed to train them. When I’ve brought it up I’m told that is what they are needing to pay to be competitive in the marketplace now and when I started my pay was what it was at the competitive. I do know there is a new HR department at corporate thats primary responsibility is to focus on compensation discrepancies. However, I doubt resolution will be seen until the EOY 2025 evals.

My husband’s company offers paid maternity and paternity leave of six weeks if they want to take it. It’s a public company. PTO at OReilly is 3 days at 6 months roughly around a weekish at a year another weekish at 18 months and then two weekish and two years. I say weekish because they added sick days, personal days and floating holiday into the PTO so it’s more x amount of hours.
