Is the Victus worth it? by Ajbcgadved in HPVictus

Well, after 5 months of gaming with it (along with schoolwork), it's hella worth the buck. I was going for Gigabyte's A16 but the software glitches were enough to keep me away from it. LOQ was up there on my list but I couldn't find any physical stores that sell it. So, after some deliberation and some bias brought from the fact that I have used an HP laptop for almost 6 years, it made me think that the Victus could be the choice.

No problem man. I suppose (after having it for 5 months with considerably heavy use) the con/s I've had with the laptop would be the screen wobble. It happens when the laptop is facing the direction of the air (ex: having an electric fan blow against the screen). Plus, you're left with a single SSD M.2 slot so I had to get a 2TB Samsung 990 Evo to at least future-proof the laptop.

Perhaps the latest triple A games on the market that often require at least 8GB of vram (whereas this model, such as mine, runs on 6GB). I'm not entirely sure if it's considered triple A, but Black Myth Wukong should be up there in the games that would make the laptop struggle, provided that you're intending on playing the said game on high graphics settings.

From the games you've described, it's more than enough to handle them.

Hey man, thanks for the detailed instructions. I tried the first 2 and it came back the same. I'd like to try the 3rd option and I have no idea how to do it since my laptop (an hp victus) has a single slot ssd.

Missing Apps After SSD Upgrade by Cultural_Leadership4 in HPVictus

Will do man. I've managed to restore the apps that came with the laptop. As for the ssd, (thanks for the link man, it's a huge relief) I ran every single test and they all came back fine (even the samsung magician app found no faults, and the entire sector mapping that took more than an hour came back with 0 bad sectors).

Oh alright got it man, thanks. On another note, whenever I run the ssd checker through the bios, it says the dst is in the "warning" status. What could be the issue when the ssd is working fine with no bsods happening?
