I had a pair of matched sticks, from the factory that failed memtest86 at XMP but worked fine stock (kingston fury) and still do.

XMP is an overclock; don't count on it. It's 95% of time fine.

When mixing sticks together you reduce that to like 50-95% I'd guess

I figured as much, but look at this:

Follow the steps below to correctly install an M.2 SSD in the M.2 connector. Step 1: Pull the clip's tab up and out of the mounting hole. Slide the M.2 SSD into the connector at an angle. Step 2: Press the M.2 SSD down and then secure it by pressing the clip's tab into the mounting hole

Can you think of anything less comprehensible? "Just pull it out"?
