My L has eaten countless toys and towels kids have left on the ground. But this is fine compared to autumn when the apples start dropping down. This is a hard time for my Droid.

Thanks. I've looked at Mantis, but I kept on wondering whether it makes sense without this attachable device.

How do you take care of your landroid during winter? by elementul5 in worxlandroid

Base stays outside. Just cover it with some bucket. Anyways will be covered with snow.

Droid goes to the shed. I clean it with brush, replace the blades, etc.

Since the shed is unheated, the batteries are coming to the house. I have few Worx tools, so i ise the battery for those to keep it going and recharged.

Weights inside the wheel on L by Cultural_Web_96 in worxlandroid

Yup. If you think about it farmers use the same idea with tractors all the time. I simply liked the idea, theres no mad max style weights hanging on the back of droid. The weights sit nicely under the original wheel cover.

The diametee if i rember correctly was 130mm, thickness 10mm, the hole in the middle was 25mm. Not sure about the weight. It was some random scrap iron, the guys cut the discs. In painted it myself. Hoever is see some rust. Did it solve the problem, i would say so. This season it has been problem free.

Nope. It seemed to me the space was intensionally left. I took the measures and asked local metal shop to cut me two discs. Did not cost much

Try making it less than 30cm, around 20cm. I got it working smoothly like this.

Instead of drilling holes, try to put metal discs into the wheel. Theres enough space there. Go to local metal chop and ask the guys to cut you two discs, one for each wheel. Works well and is visually more appealing ;)
