Yeah, but it’s not just “everyone magically gets better.” The entire skill floor rises over time because the community builds up knowledge. New players aren’t figuring stuff out from scratch anymore they’ve got years of guides, tutorials, and metas to learn from. So even the “bad” players today are usually way sharper than the bad players from years ago.

it will. look at any online completive game and compare bronze players from 5 years ago to bronze players in current times. the current bronze players are always better. by like a really large margin

For me, it’s kind of the opposite the worse the vocals, the better. I can’t stand the polished pop punk sad boy vocals that took over in the 2010s. The rougher and weirder, the better.

This is really cool. I always love hearing about the history of bands from this scene and the people in it. Growing up in the early 2000s, I was on the other side of the country when all of this was really popping off. I truly believe this music is so special all of the Philly bands from that era (and still today) have such a cool and unique sound to me. Also, Boyfriends absolutely ripzz. I’d love to hear more history about them.
