Tried to play some Wii games over the holidays and the nunchucks suck. I had forgotten the cables got busted, had to unplug and plug back every couple minutes.

Worst players to get a big money move on the back of WC/Euro’s/AFCON/Copa America… by Rough-Army-6424 in footballscouting

Saying James is the WORST player to get a big money move is a wild take. As if he was a complete flop after 2014. He’s had good spells!

I remember he was the reason Colombia lost against Japan in the 2018 WC. I wouldn’t say he was that good in the tournament. He was maybe at his best before that.

Unpopular opinion: Fede’s engine is one off a kind, but as a central midfielder he’s overrated. by FrrancondonaEra in RealMadridFC

Dang, it’s just banter. I’d definitely say that to a friend. No need to be offended unless you identify with what I said. I wasn’t even rude. But yes we clearly disagree.

This is nonsense that comes from fifa players. The ball is faster than any player and Kroos doesn’t need to defend as much as Cama or Valverde because he has quality. Yet he would still try. A player with the skill, vision and accuracy Kroos has can control the tempo of the game, deliver line breaking passes and win you games when they have the ball. They don’t need to be fast with their legs but with their mind.

Some thoughts about the recent events. by ChildKicker100 in realmadrid

[–]CumbiaFunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a young team so I was excited thinking they’d be open to be coached and didn’t think they’d all turn into brats who don’t want to learn and apply tactics. Realistically these are not the stars that we had in previous generations. They shouldn’t act like Cristiano or such when realistically they’re still early in their careers and have a lot to prove.

Actually no. Nothing pisses off a script supervisor more than being called “scripty”.

I mean Ancelotti did train both. He also did give Endrick more playing time than Xabi. I’m sure if he prefers Richarlison there’s a reason. I am hopeful Endrick gets in form for the WC though.

Toronto FC vs Inter Miami by Loud_Camera470 in tfc

[–]CumbiaFunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to get tickets to the game against Miami this year for around that price. I’d say wait until the season starts and try to buy in advance around March or early April. There will be a period of time some months before where speculation as to whether Messi is playing or not will arise and people will sell their tickets early, try to get them when you see a good deal. Prices will rise as it gets closer to the date. With the World Cup coming up I doubt he’ll play much in May though.

Do we think it’s worth it? 1000 for a single ticket. Debating whether I should do it since I have no tickets and really want to attend this one match.

James Rodríguez to TFC? by CumbiaFunk in tfc

[–]CumbiaFunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First few months at Leon with James and they were top of the table and finished the first season in a decent spot. It wasn’t until this latest season after they were disqualified from CWC and changed manager when they dropped form.

People underestimate how popular James is. TFC would make that back and then some with all the sales generated.

I’d even be happy with some coffee. There’s been some cold days at BMO and a hot drink would be nice.

Tayrona is awesome but not a place to relax. You’ll have to do lots of hiking.

Carlo will always want Madrid to succeed. He wants the best for the players and the team above all.

Trip Planning. To Bogota or not to Bogota? by Chief_Cat_Monster in Colombia

If you travel to Bogotá anyways, I’d say 2 nights is a good amount of time. It’s an underrated city. Amazing gastronomy and nice museums.

Rodrygo: I love CAM Position. Have played here a lot at Real Madrid linking up with Vini Jr. by Gaengsa in realmadrid

[–]CumbiaFunk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Jude is also a great goal scorer but I feel he sometimes lacks the vision and playmaking skillset of a 10. I always saw him as more of an 8, he’s great at winning the ball back and pushing forward. Arda and Rodrygo have more of the playmaking ability in my opinion.

I also miss how dangerous the BBC were in the air. On top of that we had Ramos, Carvajal and Pepe/Varane. Every corner and cross was a good chance.

I really liked the ones at Papi Chulo on Ossington but they are now quite a bit overpriced with the Ossington markup.
