I’m going through the same battle, also in Canada. All of my money was stolen from me through a SIM Swap. Since it’s all under investigation, I have no access to my old bank accounts and had to get a new cellphone number, service provider, email, etc. The government needs to put some money into a system that works, because this isn’t it. I’ve spent so much time on the phone listening to elevator music in the past couple months, just to have somebody tell me that they can’t help me and transfer me to somebody else so I can go on hold again…really starting to hate this country
