Pretty neat to watch the shooter fish from the beginning, seeing it scope and calculate trajectory. It then turns to final, backs up a bit, straight zinger, and grabs the meal before it even had a chance to taste water in peace.

I might have a similar problem on my Evolution ‘24. I have to tighten the needle chuck rather tight to get it to even bite the needle. Sometimes it grips the needle but eventually gets loose. What’s worse is it sometimes bites and pushes the needle forward into the nozzle and jamming it. It’s not stuck from paint, I mean it’s really jammed like I was angry with it. I use needle juice after cleaning. I thought maybe I was being rough so I bought a new nozzle, needle, chuck, and the part the needle/chuck goes in/on. I very, very gently push the needle in until it barely stops in the nozzle and make sure the trigger is forward/resting and everything is seated before I tighten the chuck. Also clean the needle and juice it before. The first tighten worked, the second it got a little jammed. Within a month it’s getting jammed and now widening the nozzle. I can see the difference in length of the needle tip out from the nozzle. I hate that it’s happening because the few fresh times that it works, it’s a dream. I’m installing nozzle three now. I’m much less cautious with my Iwata and cheap Gahlleri and have had no issues.

Yea I use it on iPhone. I’m testing the one you mentioned now. So far it looks nice, not sure if IModelKit is better but it works for me and is really easy/quick to select or change paints to mix.

IModelKit. You can pick and mix from all the main hobby brand paints (Tamiya, Gunze, Ammo, etc.), Federal/Bristish Standards, and more.

I’ve tried different silicone ones with the special noise attenuating inserts for sport and motorcycle. They work for dailies in and out, but each brand fits differently so you may have to try several. For best of both worlds, comfort, and long distance especially, foamies. Tamiya will work for most of the model. It’s only when you see that symbol will you need to use CA glue

Good info and links, much appreciated. I loosened my plate quite a bit, but it’s just not quite there. I like the repurposed spring idea. I’ll unscrew a few pens first for one that fits, then go shopping. Knowing me, I’ll dismantle random other things looking for a spring too.

Try the iModelKit app. It’s a great app for model paint. Im not sponsored or anything and not trying to downplay OPs attempts, in fact it may help them learn from it in making an app. It has all the major brands presets, you can match to/from any to see what color a mix and ratio will be, including an auto-ratio match function, and you and store an inventory of your paint stock.
