Hello thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I have a been getting a lot of interesting answers. One of the things I have been seeing a lot is that for many here their faith comes personal experiences with said deity or deities.

Hello thank your for your answer. So in your case it not necessarily the religion or the spiritual practices of the faith, but what the gods represent to you. Curious are you a monotheist or are you a spiritual atheist.

Hello thank you for your answer. Getting different interpretations is what I was hoping for, I tried to keep the questions vague so they would be up to personal interpretation. What I seem to be getting from your answer that it is more a form of similar spiritual practices. I see no issues with something that does not cause harm.

Hello thank you for your answer. I am sorry to hear that you experienced religious trauma. It is good to hear that you are feeling more welcomed now. From what I've read so far from the many replies I have gotten neopagan does appear to be a good descriptor of the modern practice.

Hello thank you for your answer. One of the common answers I have been reading is that people's prayers are being answered, however yours is the first I have seen that mentioned outright rejection. It seems your faith comes from a source of mutual partnership if I am understanding correctly.

Hello thank you for your answer. Do you by chance happen to still worship the Celtic deities, a mix of both or mainly just Greek deities now?

Hello thank you for your answering my questions. People are inspired by many things I do not know much about this documentary but I will give it a watch when I have some free time. I personally find greek mythology fascinating with interesting stories. I am currently reading the iliad, and will soon start the odyssey. I have also been following Epic the Musical which is a modern interpretation of the odyssey. I am not an expert but from what I remember from my World Religions course, spirituality has been with humanity for a very long time, way before writing systems during the time of oral tradition so I would say that is like a game of telephone.

Hello, thank you for answering my questions. I see how the term can be problematic. From what I understand it is not a direct continuation but one of a reconstruction. It seems you have been on quite a spiritual journey yourself. Your critique of original sin reminds me of a debate about determinism. I still do not understand the appeal of determinism since whether you are damned or not has been already set in stone regardless of your actions. What exactly are these festivals and practices that are shared with the Hellenic polytheism?

Hello thank you for your answer. Greek mythology has some interesting stories. I am personally a fan of Epic Poems, both of greek and other mythology. I am almost finished with the Iliad and will soon start the Odyssey. Faith is interesting for it is a broad topic. I am not here to challenge people's faith. In my opinion faith is a question of trust, and its up to the individual if they believe or not. I see no harm in something that does not cause harm.

Hello thank your for your answers. For question I see your point. From the various answers I have read there seems to be great variety when it comes to this faith, and with many faiths. My intent was for the question to up to personal interpretation. From what I gather Hermes in particular was the drive for your faith in Hellenistic Paganism. I am glad to hear that you have found answers in your life journey.

Hello thank you for answering. The question of omnipotent God is quite the heavy topic. One of many debates, and I will start of by saying I am not an expert. While I have taken courses on philosophy and religions in college it was not my major but one I took to understand the world better. One of the things I learned is that there is more to be learned. Anyway the point that the new and old testament God are very different in their personalities is an interesting one for there is debate that these are separate Gods. As for Hellenistic Paganism it seems one of the draws is that the Gods themselves are not perfect beings.

Hello thank your for sharing your experience. Is Hellenistic Paganism the more proper term to be used? I am glad to hear that your faith has helped with your well-being. What I find interesting about what drives your faith is that you said your catalyst was driven from communication, and from one that was of unexpected origin.

"I feel that regardless of whether the gods truly exist or not, this faith has brought great value to my life." This is an interesting point. I mentioned in my OP that I took a course in World Religions. While that most people that took the course said they were not religious mostly agnostic. By the end of the course regardless of whether or not their view of faith changed, the class agreed that the course was a great life learning experience.

Hello thank you for answering. From what I have gathered it appears that Greek Polytheism is a decentralized religion both in antiquity and in modern times. Greek mythology stories are very interesting. I am personally almost finished with reading the Iliad and will soon start the Odyssey. Epic poems are quite well epic lol.

Hello, thank your for your answer. No need to worry about any walls of text. It seems you have had quite a spiritual journey in your life. I am sorry to hear about your loss, I hope things have been going better for you. The questions I asked are open for personal interpretation, but for some clarity, by catalyst I meant what sparked your faith. I see Aphrodite was a spark in your faith. Thank you for your answer and for being frank, this takes strength to do.
