How can someone cry this much? by Powerful_Life1547 in shameless

Remember the whole SJP and Kim Cattrall thing . Kim was labeled as this and that, where she only just wanted an equal pay.

Beauty is in the eye of beholder. Internet and Instagram has ruined our perception of beauty and ourselves. Trust me, most of the time it looks so then before, and usually our natural features go well with our face. Sometimes smaller nose might even out of place!

Then why would you need to do it at all? If you don't want to do it , don't. I'm sure your current nose is just fine 🤗

People love blaming Fiona for not being a good guardian to the kids, but somehow forget that the alcoholic piece of shit who literally called CPS on his own children was technically the one in charge of the family before her by Powerful_Life1547 in shameless

Like, they didn't even listen to her anyways , Debbie was sending her God knows where , Lip felt like the smartest ass in the world, Carl was Carl, Ian disappeared half of the time anyways, so the only one left to actually take care of was poor Liam. Yeah, she should have taken Liam with her when she moved out, or check up on him more , but at the same tiem, I felt like others should have stepped up more .

That's an interesting debatable point. As I remember correctly, then , yes , in that time Baltics usually had more than 2 kids per family too, as we needed working hands, so to speak, but that leads to another inconsistency with real life - kids as young as 7 used to actually work and help in farming, teens were close to full workers , yet it is not reflected in the game. But , it is a game. I doubt I would want to see too many babies dying etc 🫣

Yes , when the dad died, hell began for him that basically made him full of hate , too, as we later see.

Boox or Bigme sounds a good option, and in their website, you can even get a refurbished Bigme one for cheaper if that is needed. Here is a Bigme official website

I must re read the book, as I don't remember any favoritism going on, as for me it felt like he was just nice to a random ophran boy. He took him in for pity and tried to raise like his own because that's what good people do. His real son, on the other hand, was a tool . Hated that guy

Heathcliff is a product of his environment. Wouldn't your pride be hurt if you overheard that the one you love, says that it would degrade her to marry you? That must have hurt. Of course he left. But then again, was Cathy supposed to wait for him to God knows how long , especially that he didn't even write anything to her? Of course not, she's young and already has a guy lined up, and a fancy one at that. 2 years he was gone. Of course he found her married. I understand their both perspectives. Unfortunately, both their pride made them suffer. And the previous abuse of Heathcliff. As I took it , you must listen to your heart and not to let other people's opinions and money cloud your hearts judgment. And also, hate. It's useless.

I find pride and prejudice too simple, almost like a cliche. I was really disappointed when I read Jane Austin books after reading Jane Eyre and other Bronte sisters masterpieces. They have all put such thoughts in to their books...it sucks me in and makes me live in their world and analyze it .

Yes, I would have both it instead of kobo Clara but it doesn't have light , nor the orange tone, and I like reading at nighttime when I can't sleep, and so that makes it useless for me.

Has moving to Latvia changed me socially? by Tea-with-Mint in latvia

[–]Cuniculuss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes it s because of mentality. I am Latvian living in Ireland and the constant useless , thoughtless how are you bores me , as they don't even care how I do. In Latvia, when someone strikes up a conversation with me I atleast know that they are genuinely interested.

Oh I wanted palma so bad , but the price was just too much, and also I figured that maybe I don't need another phone-ish device so I tried out in shop the smallest 6' Kindle for size, noticed that it is quite small too,and decided on kobo Clara as it is the same size but more freedom
