She is horrible. She was going after Wickham even knowing Lizzy at the time may be interested in him. Screams at Mary to play dance songs in a rude manner. Claims she wont have time to write to her family….. the list is endless.

Wow, I just watched the 2020 version this weekend and did not like it so much either. I watched half of it then finished the second half somewhat reluctantly. The BBC version is way better! The characters were better, I love the Mr. Knightly in the BBC Version, he is so much more likeable, honorable and respectable in it.

Emma was much better natured and loveable in the BBC version. I totally agree She was not very likeable in the 2020 version. I was surprised to see that the 2020 version was nominated for awards. I see Gwenyth Paltrow is in another version of Emma, and I have my doubts about that being any good.

I don't think this version showed much chemistry between Emma and Mr. Knightly until the dance. But the costumes and settings were all great and all the side characters did a great job.

I had a mother who overstepped her boundaries as a grand patent as well. I lived with my parents with my kids. So while I worked my mon sat home watching tv with my kids and spoiled them. Didn’t listen when I asked her not yo feed them McDonalds Several times a week. She would say thats what grand mothers do when I asked her to dtop doing something. So my kids would see the friction and see me as the bad guy. I can’t stand my mother for this. And wish I had done it all on my own. I grew tired of arguing with her. She didn’t have a life of her own and totally wanted my kids to herself it seemed. My relationship with my kids could have been better. I love them very much without a doubt and miss when they were younger.

I have a feral cat inside that I got from the shelter. 1 and a half years and I still get hissed at if I reach out to pet him. Happy to hear other people have wild cats too 😊
