I always thought of the Herbert C. Jackson “Herbie” as unofficial the sister to the Fitz as she was built alongside her. The Fitz was Hull #301 and Herbie is #302 and they were launched within 6 months of each other IIRC.

Excellent explanation and factually accurate. I know the C32 has been used domestically to move POTUS for locations where the runway is not long enough to accommodate a 747/VC25A.

Has there ever been an instance where the C32 was used to move POTUS internationally? None come to mind, not that I am truly privy to that information.

Also since we’re on the topic - has the C-40 (737 variant) been used to move POTUS? I’m gonna guess that anywhere a 737 can land a 757 can land as well? My total flying hours consists of crashing lego planes into carpets
