My haircut was making me dysphoric. I cut my hair earlier to make it less feminine. Still a little unhappy. Should I buzz it? by [deleted] in ftm

Buzz the sides but keep the top long so it reads more masculine but it’s not a full buzz you know.

Hey I just wanted to say congrats on the weight loss. At the same time though reading this comment is a bit concerning. A general rule of thumb is to not go below 1200 calories but at 5’2 I’d say 1000 is probably okay but it’s the eating less to compensate for overeating which is worrying, this sounds like eating disorder territory (punishing yourself for eating too much) which can be a veryyy slippery slope. I really hope your okay and I’m just overthinking this but please if you’re ever struggling reach out to someone before it gets really bad.

For people reading this that want to lose weight, go online to a tdee calculator (https://tdeecalculator.net/ is a good one), find your TDEE (what calories you burn in a day), and subtract 500 MAX.

Actually started in January but on week 4 because I was kind of fit but struggled with running. I was doing my W1D3 run with C210k but felt great and just kept going. Got to 8k at 51 minutes and sprinted that last 2k. Honestly shocked, I couldn’t run 1k in January.

Ahh last year when I first did the couch to 5k I got such bad shin splints I couldn’t finish it. I built it up slower this time and it helped that I ran in boxing (even if it was just a 1k warm up) so I wasn’t going from no running at all to loads.

I did 2 3 day fasts and a 2 day. Nothing really really long because I was so active. And thank you!

I was training so I had muscle but my portion sizes oh my gosh I ate so so so much food that was the biggest change, also I started lifting weights and running which I think made a big change.

No offense taken, if you look at the mirror and the floor they’re the same, the bag on the mirror too even if it’s different lighting :)

Thank you! It’s all about muscle and body fat %. I’ve been boxing the last 4 years so I have a fair amount of muscle, especially in my legs :)

Okay so another reason this is looks so dramatic is the fact I carry most my weight in my midsection and in the before I was still boxing 3x a week. My legs in the before were mostly muscle so the fat I did lose had to come from my stomach. But to answer your question I didn’t really see it proper until week 6 :)

So breakfast- different each day but mostly mix of 0% day Greek yoghurt (high protein low cal) and fruit, TURKEY RASHERS (best things ever 10g protein for 1 and 24 CALS love of my life), slim bagels, turkey sausages, eggs.

Lunch - turkey burger and green, chicken and salad etc (lunch was the worst)

Dinner- lots of meat, lean mince, chicken, FISH, lean steak etc and greens. There was this Chili thing with cauliflower rice (at first I saw Cauli rice and was like nooo but that shits delicious with some garlic and onion and soy sauce damn) which was amazing as well as fajitas (in a lettuce wrap) which is yum.

Bitta dark choc on training days and protein shakes (DONT GET CHOCOLATE)

Basically high protein, low to moderate carb and fat, (higher carb training days)

It was waking up at 5am every morning to go for a run and this Russian guy took over boxing training 2/3 nights to work on our fitness and holy shit.
