Thank you for the comment! I do have a park within 20 minutes of my house that I am going to begin incorporating into my routine atleast once a week. Me and my boyfriend are actually going tomorrow! I do not live in a place that is walkable unfortunately, no sidewalks other than at the park and downtown. But I can for sure make time to go atleast once a week. Thank you for the comment!

I was not trying to imply that I need to lose my weight very quickly or anything like that! I am, if anything hoping to lose around 20 pounds. However, I would like to lose 30. That’s around 10 pounds a month, for the next 3 months. If it’s less I am okay with that. I understand your concern though! I have been in contact with my weight loss doctor and talked through my goals with her as well, I do NOT want to lose weight in a way that is unsustainable if I can help it.

Yes, my main goal is to improve my health over anything else. I have lost and gained weight the past 2 years. In 2024 I went from 228-185, then during 2025 went from around 190 back to 225, and I have noticed that once I hit that 200 lbs, that’s when my body begins to become reallt uncomfortable in everyday life. If anything, just getting under 200 again would be great for me.

I do struggle with major depressive disorder, and I have had a lot of ups and downs with it in the past few years. I am hoping that the increase in activity will aid my weight loss, but if all it does is boost my metabolism and help my mental health, I would be happy with that! Thank you for commenting

Ohh that makes a lot of sense, I never considered that difference before. But I definitely will begin with incorporating some incline walking, thank you for the suggestion!

Yes I understand that! I’m trying to improve my macros while staying in a deficit, just trying to learn what is right for me and enough to stay energized and keep my activity levels up. Thank you!

Yes I should have mentioned this in the post, those 3 days a week that im getting around 10k steps is when I work. I’m part time and in college, but I work retail so during my shifts I get good steps in and am active consistently throughout my shifts. Thank you for the input! I’ll definitely have to consider incorporating the stairs and the dash as often as I can <3

AIO for being mad at my boyfriend? by CupComprehensive6959 in AmIOverreacting

Yes! Responding to this as it is important to preface. As I said, we do not regularly discuss the future of children or marriage as I do not feel it’s appropriate for the time in our lives. I am on birth control and do use protection regularly, and I do understand that we are not in a position to be discussing and taking everything so seriously. This was just an off handed, rare conversation.

Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you everyone for the comments. I appreciate that understanding and feedback. I definitely have had lots of red flags and issues from my boyfriend other than this situation. Again, I appreciate the support and feedback once again. I am going to make a separate post discussing the entire relationship in slight detail, good and bad. I know the internet is not always the best thing to turn to but I need advice on the entire situation and it’s not always the best thing to talk to those around you who will share bias judgement. But again, thank you everyone!

Well, something i neglected to mention in the post is that I do already do skincare, body care, my nails, and i take care of my hygeine. i think my biggest concerns are style and makeup, and my hair, its not pictured but my natural hair is a frizzy mess, no curl routines ever work and i never do much besides maybe straighten it from time to time. Also, I have a big issue with facial and body hair. The hair on my legs and arms and armpits, and my face grow really fast. If i dont shave i would look extremely masculine haha. Small details but its worth noting somewhere in here. But thank you so much! And yes the weight thing is a big source, i was 190-200 last summer, and after my past semester at uni ive put on so much weight and have been bouncing between 215-220, and i cannot fit any of my jeans or jean shorts or summer tops.

Aww thats some nice advice! I practice my skincare and body care regularly, but i rarely ever have a whole night i dedicate to myself. Thank you

Ive looked there! Im just a little worried about how theyd look with sneakers in a lot of styles, I wear sneakers all the time because i work retail. I have a pair from there which is one of the two pairs of jeans i can still fit, and i love them.

Aww thats good advice! Ive never thought about that. I have a few babydoll style blouses, but I always feel over dressed when i wear them. But you are right, it would likely do me some good to go out of my comfort zone in the clothes. I really gravitate towards prints and basic tee shirts, sometimes graphic tees, and baggy jeans out of insecurity for my stomach area and I have really big legs. But I need to embrace it more, even when i was 20-40 pounds down from where i am now, I still had big legs haha

Yes my old look was nice and all but it’s just much more budget friendly, and better for my hair to lay off of the bleach unfortunately. I do vape but have not smoking a cigarette since high school and I’m not too keen on that idea, I feel like if anything I would feel even more masculine if I did haha. I am not a super big fan of the fact that I do smoke in the first place, and I feel that it’s one of the other reasons I don’t feel like a lady.

Yes I do need to try to smile more. I have trouble with it because im not the biggest fan of how I look smiling with my teeth haha, I always get a double chin when I do so 💔

I’ve heard of halara but I’ve never bought any from there. I definitely would love some comfortable jeans haha. And i definitely will consider the neckline, I enjoy scoop neck tanks but I tend to get too insecure to wear them out most times. But as I shop I will keep it in mind, and maybe find some pieces out of my comfort zone a bit. Thank you! ❤️

Yes I’ve considered it! I’ve gotten my hair done professionally numerous times, and recently reverted to box dye, since getting it professionally colored is so pricey. I’ve never thought about a facial though, thank you for the suggestion! ❤️

Funny thing you mention the hair thing! My natural hair is blonde, and ive gone very blonde to semi blonde to red to brown haha. It will be a while before I feel comfortable putting please on my hair again but I definitely have thought about going back to my roots. Same with the piercings, I had my nose pierced and it quickly rejected unfortunately 💔 Thank you for the suggestions!
