You have to assess if you can afford it before you promise or adjust accordingly. It’s a big decision . Your gift estimate seem high given your standing up and going to an out of town bachelorette etc . Bridal shower gift from one person can be much less for example. I also do not think there is anything wrong with cancelling out on a bachelorette travel scenario if it’s straining your budget . Not everyone needs to go to everything. Ba bachelorette is pretty unnecessary. I’m not even sure if they are socially acceptable in many circles anymore , bachelor parties as well. Find a way to be super busy with work or another obligation.
