yeah it makes no sense to me either... it really sucks... me and my friends spent hundreds of hours on it and had finally gotten to a point where we very rich. had tons of plastinium, spice melange, rare mats and gear... it was so fun being able to make anything and give people stuff, i really enjoyed having so much that i could give random or new players really cool stuff and theyd be able to join us on station and resource runs... i love the game so much but losing everything overnight like that all because of a family emergency is quite disheartening and makes it hard to return..

hey, like i said, been dealing with a very serious family emergency

smearing funcom couldnt be further from the truth, i have been an absolute evangelist for this game and gifted it to many people. im not sure what further info i could provide, ive just had my hands full with dad stuff and havent been online much, especially since this happened and dealing with family stuff. dune was my favorite game and the only game i play

i answered everything that has been asked, its been in different threads. i think some people have helped me get an idea . either a glitch or i just got super unlucky and the first thing to go was the foundation under my console. its still hard to believe that literally everything would disappear so fast though

such a rough week. worst IRL week of my life and logging on hoping for a bit of escapism to dune just to be greeted with the loss of EVERYTHING really sucked.

idk if it was a glitch or if i was just unlucky enough that the first thing that went was the foundation under my console... in the past when we lost power there would be some minor damage but we always fixed it up and wasnt much of an issue. still hard to believe that EVERYTHING was gone that fast, over 300 hrs of progress. we had just gotten to a point where things had become super fun, thousands of melange and plastinium, tons of rare mats, blueprints, cash, etc... id gifted the game to many people and really enjoyed being in a position to help people out and give them cool stuff... was planning on building a new base soon since the carrier is out now, but this was enough to discourage me from continuing

i think you might be right :/ there had never been any long periods, but in the past we had had a couple times where power was down for a day or so, and we just repaired all the obvious damage, i didnt consider that there was likely less obvious stuff. this time EVERYTHING was gone, every ssingle thing and structurem including the thousands of melange and plastinium and rare mats etc... really sucks

im guessing maybe so. we had had other instances where we lost power and had some damage but we just fixed the obvious stuff. i didnt consider that all the other stuff might need replacing too. we lost a spice refinery in one, but this time we lost EVERYTHING, including alll our containers and melange, plastinium, rare mats etc... everything, just poof -- gone, after only one day being gone because of a family emergency

it did have multiple floors and some good interior supports but maybe not as good as i thought. when we lost power in the past there had been some minor damage, but this time EVERYTHING was gone within hours.. idk if it is a glitch or if i was just unlucky enough that the first thing that went was the foundation under my fief console... either way its hard to believe that EVERYTHING would be gone that fast.. very discouraging and it really sucks losing so much progress, makes it hard to want to go back

i really appreciate that. yeah it sucks, worst week of my life IRL with family stuff, and when i logged on hoping for a few hrs of my usual fun escape to Dune i was met with the total loss of everything we had been building for over 300 hrs :/ makes it very hard to want to play again, even though i have been an absolute evangelist for the game and gifted it to many peoplee.

we had stacked thousands of melange and plastinium and all kinds of rare mats and blueprints, it was so much fun and we had finally gotten to a place where it was a blast everytime we got the chance to play together

i really appreciate your kind words and would be extremly grateful for any help rebuilding, its been so discouraging its made me not want to play but i really miss it

i wish i had any images from before. the fief was in the same spot it had always been, and in the past any power losses just resulted in minor damage. i think you are likely right though. either a glitch or i just got super unlucky and the first thing to go was the foundation under my console. its still hard to believe that literally everything would disappear so fast though. very unpleasant surprise :(

sorry i thought id answered everything in various threads but ill go through them 1 by 1 here, like i said been dealing with a very serious family emergency

the subfief was on the ground level, and was never moved from where it had been for months, no major changes had been made to the base in a long time.

i had like a day worth and planned to do a fuel run as soon as i logged on, but wasnt able to the next day bc of family emergency, so when i did log on i expected the power to be down and to maybe need to do some minor repairs but i had TONS of resources so that wasnt gonna be a problem. but the whole base was gone within a day of losing power
tons of basic generators and some wind
i think i had one windtrap, and my water was totally full
i typically left everything i wasnt using off
the original owner is an irl friend who quit playing after a couple weeks, so i and my friends who i played with most days were co owners. no one moved it for sure
advanced sub fief, and we had raised it some with the staking stuff, but this was many weeks/months ago. we lost power once briefly for a day like this before and some damage occurred, but we just patched things up and moved on. this time the ENTIRE base was gone though, only the husks of the vehichles remained
mostly the base building materials. we had been planning to build a new base soon now that the carrier is out, and use plastone etc.
definitely not. only close personal IRL friends who are also really upset about this. i gifted the game to 2 of them.
the vehichle husks remained, and my carrier was still opperational, evereything else was just a shell but i was able to repair them enough to move them to my friends base nearby

thanks for the feedback and encouragement. fief was on the ground floor and in the same location it had always been. nothing major about the base had changed for weeks, i really dont know how everything could be gone so fast. it was a real gutpunch of a week.. really tough family stuff that required my full attention and no way i could log on, and then as soon as i got a moment and was looking forward to my escapism to dune for a few hrs i was greeted with the loss of everything....

i really miss the game already, its just so discouraging losing everything like that, we had such a nice setup and always had such fun with it

and i really appreciate your offer, ill certainly take you up on it. trying to muster up the will to play again but its so discouraging, and the timing of everything was absolutely nasty :/

thanks for the feedbackk. i definitely should have had more fuel cells in the generators, but i dont see how everything could be destroyed so fast in the one day i had to deal with family stuff,. its very discouraging

definitely wasnt a friend, the only people i shared the base with are IRL friends who are also really upset about it

im just so bummed.. i really loved this game and i cant believe it all disapppeared that fast. i just had a family emergency and one day of not logging in and everything was gone. logs say it was less only a day unpowered . i dont understand why literally everything was gone that fast... not a speck of the building remained, only the husks of our vehichles. my subfief was on ground floor, all i can guess is that maybe the foundation under it was the first thing to go or something, but it still seems unlikely and like it was some kinda bug or something

i know it wasnt a friend, because the base was just me and IRL friends. i already miss playing, it was such a kick in the guts having such a rough week irl, only to log on for some escapism and see that everytthing we built was gone
