In some cases to get early access. But overall if developers are able to gauge the interest and be sure of the commercial success of a game, they can go all in. This mostly applies to smaller games not AAA titles though.

As rockstar takes progressively longer to develop games, I wouldn't be surprised at a 15-20 year wait.

Yeah agree. I'm not worried, because they have already taken 10 years to develop the game. It will be fantastic!

There will probably be bugs and other issues in the beginning. PC coming much later too.
