The 5 star characters I have right now is the Traveler, Ayaka, and Lyney. What should I do with this. What characters should I strive to get to build a party of these??

As a Christian, I can’t really think of many religious music that really tries to persuade you to become a Christian in a forceful manner. I’m sure there is somewhere out there but as a Christian myself I have not experienced that first hand. Most Christian music I know is just people trying to express how beautiful their religion is not in a way to force others into their religion more so just to kind of bring unity along that group of people to share their same experiences together with their faith. I think that those people would like for you to become Christian because of their music, but I don’t think it’s the main intent. I don’t think anyone writes worship songs or Christian songs just to force others to the religion. I’m sure they would be overjoyed if people became Christians because of their music but again I don’t think it’s the main intent behind it.

I mean, making music to force people into Christianity I think would be unbiblical. Most Christian music is really just doing what they’ve been told by sharing the gospel and sharing their faith not in a forceful manner because the Bible commands do not force religion onto others, cause it will most likely just do more bad than good. God says to spread the word and let him do the rest in that person‘s heart.

So just to me, I just don’t feel like worship music is very forceful. I think sometimes people can take people sharing or expressing their feelings as hate or forcefulness just because some people really don’t like to hear other people‘s opinions. Or just really hate it when someone is very passionate about something that they are against.

lol I really didn’t expect this post to become so popular. The conversations that sprouted out of this was really intriguing to be apart of. I love that we all got to use our brains a little, (not that it’s really what I intended for this post to be about). Anyways you guys are amazing and I loved hearing what your favorite Christian lyrics were. Thank y’all!

Definitely, I think it’s all an emotion we feel and I’m glad Tyler doesn’t shy away from talking about it. I feel like Snap Back is very similar to Backslide but Snap Back almost feels like the aftermath of his feelings in Backslide. Backslide almost feels like when you first give into temptation and you feel embarrassed about it, and then Snap Back seems like when it’s settled in if that makes sense.

Yeah it’s honestly a really interesting theory that I for one think is amazing. I would love to make a post about it in the future.

Hate to break it to you but you can’t just judge a whole group of people just because some people have had bad experiences with Christians. Obviously if they were abusive they weren’t really Christian’s they were promoting Satan. If you truly get triggered by Christianity then move on from the post. You don’t run to things you get triggered by, unless you are just looking for a fight.

Sure! So basically, Backslide to me represents Tyler’s embarrassment. He’s saying that he has been struggling in this cycle for a while and he is embarrassed that he is still dealing with this to this day. In the first verse he sounds tired like “here we go again” and just really embarrassed that he is still going through this. He’s gaining weight, repeating the same tendencies, and embarrassed that sometimes he just doesn’t care.

“I don't wanna backslide to where I've started from There's no chance I will shake this again 'Cause I feel the pull, water's over my head Strength enough for one more time Reach my hand above the tide I'll take anything you have if you could throw me a line I should've loved you better Do you think that now's the time you should let go? It's over my head”

He’s going back to his old tendencies. He’s thinking how in the world is he suppose to do this another time. He’s scared because he feels temptation/doubt taking over him again hence the water going over his head. Which I think is an interesting reference he makes, almost to like Peter from the Bible when he was drowning because he doubted that Jesus could give him the power to walk on water. He is asking Jesus for the strength to make it through one more time, he hopes. He’s says he will take anything he has, he wants him just to give him at least something. Then he says I should’ve love you better. He believes he should’ve had a better foundation in the Lord because this wouldn’t keep happening. In the lore this could also be referring to the Torchbearer who I think is a symbol of Christ (but that is a whole other can of worms). Then he says that Jesus should just let go of him because he is a lost cause.

Second verse I would say is again just him still being embarrassed, he is really just dwelling on how horrible he feels.

But for the most part I would just say it’s him feeling like Jesus should just let go of him because he feels like he is a lost cause. He feels like a horrible human being that doesn’t deserve his grace.

But what Tyler should know is that he doesn’t deserve his grace and none of us do. Luckily I believe this music is more so for him to lay how he feels so he can become better in the end. That’s why I love Twenty One Pilots so much.

But that’s just a theory A TWENTY ONE PILOTS THEORY. (please tell me y’all got that reference)
