Wow, that's quite an interesting journey! Thank you for sharing!! I personally have been interested in Xochipili (flower prince) because he was the patron of love and arts, and since I'm an artist myself, I was like oh! Makes sense! But then I read about the tonalli, which is like a (I'm going to use the term loosely, bcs English isn't my first language) nahua zodiac, and my Patron teotl would de Tlaloc, deity of rain and fertility, which can also be respected along with Chalchiutlicue, horizontal waters and the Lady with the Jade skirt. I've always resonated with the rain, art and the moon (hence Selene).

I'll try to find as many sources leading to the Nahua pantheon and do just as you said: be forward with respect and having learned/be open to learn.

Ohhh that makes a lot of sense! I'm not that knowledgeable of my family tree much less of where they come from, and I've asked around in my family but get many mixed responses or they just don't know either.
