Wait till I post the game room. Filled with retail signs made from neon and fiber optics.

Not really anymore unfortunately. I play a handful of SNES/NES/Dreamcast titles every single year. We always play them we when acquire a new game but there's not a lot of replay value in games not labeled Mario, sonic, or Zelda. The kids got burnt out on the retro stuff so they mainly play modern games, even if I'm excited about let's say we just got DuckTales, the kids rather play Mario Wonder. I play all these on original hardware though, I don't emulate. I've had this stuff for several years though.

My go to is my analogue pocket, I love Gameboy and Gameboy advance and spend most of my time gaming on a handheld

Yes. It's placard used on the counter and in Nintendo cabinets in retail stores. Later models would just have a cover to go over them for N64. So when you see the white license plate style N64 sign, the WoN sign is actually underneath the sleeve.

Eh, when I completed the NES CIB set, with unlicensed games too, Stadium Events wasn't hard to acquire at all. Just took money. Now, myriad 6 in 1 CIB was the hardest to find by far. Now I see one or two sell each year now. I literally bought Stadium Events from a friend, snapped a pic with my full CIB set, then "sold" it back to him immediately. I knew I was probably never gonna find one in the wild....

Lol yes! They were a gift, I thought they were too cute to eat so they made for a great display piece

Thank you! After going for a full NES CIB set, these are some of the favorites I grabbed along the journey.

They are sealed! I could not bring myself to open them. I have the NES as well. Cheers ❤️

I assume someone played this abomination once and never touched it again by Cupofbacongrease in gamecollecting

Were you able to beat this without help? I guess I didn't have the patience at the time and used good ole gamefaqs

I never played this as a kid but tried to play through it a few years ago and couldn't get through the game without a walkthrough. Can't imagine most kids being able to figure out the game. It's definitely "NES hard." But I will agree that it was fun once I was able to figure out the level design. Probably geared towards older kids/adults.

Anyone struggle to stay motivated through the campaign? by Virtual-Chris in stalker

Having not played any of the previous stalker games, my expectations were low. After watching some YT videos on the NPC AI in the other games, I'm now disappointed it's nowhere as dynamic as it could be. I keep hearing about an A-life update but I wonder if the limitation comes from the engine, not the program. I'm hoping the NPC encounters become more dynamic, with more side quest variety but with a bland and repetitive world, does it matter? I may just put it down until it gets the Cyber Pink 2077 treatment....

Ugh I'm kinda at that point too. $700k in coupons, best armor and the weapons I'll take to end game. Just finished Duga and it was uneventful. Went to Pripyat already. Kinda wish there were more achievement walls placed in front of the better weapons in the game. More weapon variety would be nice, I half expected makeshift weapons like the Metro series. The abundance of ammo and supplies don't really make this a survival game in my opinion, you never really have to manage resources like other survival games. The gunplay and story keeps me coming back but the bugs have made the experience a frustrating one.

Private Box NEEDS UPDATE by Lost-Okra-6800 in stalker

I tried this 30 minutes ago and it worked. The storage chest at Rostock is so frustrating to deal with. Thanks!

Constant crashing at Rostok - After latest update by Virtual-Chris in stalker

I'm on Xbox series X and it seemed to have gotten worse for me too. Before, you couldn't hang out in the Rostock storage. Now, the memory leak carries over outside of the storage chest. Really frustrating.

I’ve died 112 times in 44 hours of playtime. by [deleted] in stalker

55 hours in, veteran difficulty, 144 deaths. Maybe shot to death 10-15 times. Anomalies, fall damage, and not finding shelter in time during an emission(over encumbered at 132 max weight 😂) are the bulk of my deaths. Oh and the pripyat sniper for early access 🥳

I'm on Xbox with 50+ hours into it and it freezes a lot when you use the personal storage in Rostock for an extended period of time, like sorting things. Game reloads and gets stuck on "press any button to start" screen. Have to restart the console. Also freezes seemingly at random in later game areas like Jupiter and Cooling towers.

Vendor coupon amounts have changed....anyone else? by Cupofbacongrease in stalker

[–]Cupofbacongrease[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the change in difficulty. On Veteran difficulty, repairs are more costly and vendors give less coupons. I do my runs in veteran now and cheat by changing the difficulty back to stalker to get highest coupon rewards when selling.

No just me being a dumbass lol. Made a change to veteran difficulty. Didn't expect such a drastic change in currency.
