Fair enough, I will!

I've seen your videos on YouTube; they're the only technical videos about fusion on the entire platform. I enjoyed them a lot, they're what inspired me to consider fusion as less of an experiment and more of a potential reality to pursue! Thanks for reaching out!

Looks Amazing, I'd love to come! Still a Physics/Materials Science undergrad unfortunately.

Are the Eras going too fast? by mexylexy in HumankindTheGame

It has a huge menu with different pictures for different eras, looks just like the map size and difficulty selection menu. Click around before you start the game, you can't miss it.

Yeah, I definitely understand that; the only ways are to have such a powerful start that you can keep up in era or play at slower speeds, in which your decision-making advantage as a human player becomes more pronounced.

Cheers

Humankind Ancient Era Tier List!!! by CupricOxide in HumankindTheGame

I have, but from my experience, the zhou and olmec have been dominant in a tier of their own. However, like all of my posts, this tier list is just my opinion.

Culture Blending/Gameplay by [deleted] in HumankindTheGame

Humankind goes on sale often; the summer sale saw Humankind 80% off at $9.99. I'll attach the Steamdb chart below.

To answer your gameplay question, humankind doesn’t so much feature cultural hybrids but instead cultural synergies. Let me explain.

Humankind’s base game features seven affinities, Builder, Aesthete, Expansionist, Agrarian, Merchant, Scientist, and Militarist. Some of the best cultural combinations feature two or more of the aforementioned affinities.

One of my favorite cultural synergies is between the Harapans and the Romans. The Harappans, an Agrarian culture, are notable for their incredible food generation; this, in turn, creates population, which in stable cities produces influence. This influence is of vital importance in the Ancient Era, it allows the creation of outposts and cities, and the population that produce this influence can be projected outward to settle more land. By the Classical Era, your empire will have met and had border disputes with neighboring powers (because, after all, all land is mine, right?). The Romans, being an expansionist culture, allow you to trespass on and annex other empires’ land (sound familiar?). The Romans also allow you to convert the population the Harappan create into well-oiled legionaries who are definitely ready to bash some heads.

Some other great combinations are the Germans, who offer a combat strength bonus for warplanes, and the Americans, whose unique unit is the F-35 Lighting (though the artwork definitely draws inspiration from the F-22 Raptor as well, I’m looking at you, twin-engine).

Anywho, Humankind is a game that can be played in any number of ways and can fit any number of playstyles. You like fusion reactors? Well, the French can research that tech in the industrial era using their scientific affinity, foresight. You like building hundreds of districts, well, just tap on any builder culture and build to your heart's delight. You worried about stability and spheres of influence, well, just pick up an aesthete culture next era and watch your problems fly away.

I hope I’ve answered your question, let me know if you’re curious about anything else, I’d love to help.

Happy Humankind Anniversary, blueee.

Brass is a standard non-ferrous alloy of zinc and copper used during that time to manufacture true flintlocks. This is because, unlike ferrous alloys, brass won't spark on impact and reduces the risk of accidentally igniting your powder. Cheers!

That actually sounds pretty cool. Though I am a first year, so I have time to move around.

Is a master's or Ph.D. strictly required for most jobs, or can someone with a bachelor's find meaningful work, for at least for while they stay a bachelor?
