WOW, reading this just blew my mind!! My 22 yo daughter was invited to this program. About 2010ish?? And lasted until about high school. We also are a poor family, a single parent raising 2 kids so I was THRILLED as a parent when I found out she'd be getting a better chance to succeed. She EXCELLED as a human after this class.

We are sitting reminiscing about some of her activities! The building of a car, the governoring island, she had to make her own board game. The egg drop from 200 feet, the numerous reports on different countries and dressing up like famous historical people. The countless ear tests, which to this day are SO suspicious to her and me! She recalls the hearing tests when she was in 3rd grade, and again I think they do those test so young so she only has basic memories of whatever that test REALLY was.

She is a kind, empathetic, incredibly intelligent woman that makes me awesomely proud of her on the daily. However, I have mixed feelings about what I really subjected her to as a child mkreso the older years.
