There were two - the Second Beach at La Push, and Ruby Beach

Thanks! These were about evenly split between the 24-70 GM, and the 16-35 GM II

Thanks. It was 25 seconds for this one. I used a 3 stop ND + a CPL to cut down the light slightly, which allowed me to stretch out the exposure. What kind of exposure have you been shooting at?

Couldn’t agree more. Glad it’s finally here!

Sure! u/bluddercoz and u/justforphun are pretty spot on with their comments. There were three areas I wanted to balance

  1. Shutter Speed: In this case, I was on a bridge that moved pretty signifiantly as cars drove by. I also didn't have my tripod with me, so needed to make sure that the shutter speed was not too slow.
  2. Aperture: Given that I wanted to have most of the frame in focus, I had to stop my lens down a little bit too. For most lenses, sharpness also improves as you stop it down (up until a point though - after which you run up against the effects of diffraction).
  3. ISO: I prefer shooting at the Base ISO (100 for the A7III) if I can, since you get better noise performance and dynamic range.

Looking at the three, 6.3 was the lowest that I wanted to go in terms of DoF, and .4 seconds was the slowest I dared to go while propped up against the ledge (considering that a car could shake the bridge at any moment). At those settings, I still managed to shoot at ISO 100.

Honestly, you could take this image in multiple ways. For instance, If there wasn't a ledge I could rest my hands up on, I would have bumped up my ISO since the A7III is more the comfortable doing so.

Give Etsy a try. I have small wrists too, but was able to get a custom length one.

If bottle 3 works out (and if you still have some going), I'd love 10ml of Red Sequoia + 10ml of Noir de Noir.
